all straighteners damage your hair. just buy one from a beauty supply store or a salon those are generally the best (doesn't have to be CHI, GHD, or FHI.) i have an amika one and it's amazing. just remember to buy a heat protectant to put in your hair before you straighten it, that's what reduces the damage.
