Best straightener??

my hair is thick and curly

i was thinkin about gettin a chi

but i keep hearin that they break easily

and they only last about 6 months

so should i get one? or should i get like sedu or somethin else? pls help!!Best straightener??
I have a Chi and I works very well!!! But, mine is kinda broken right now. The Iron part is fine it's the wire but I can get it fixed. You know it's a good straightener when your skin is ';nearly burning';. I'm kidding. A tip is before you straighten use this product called ';Biosilk';. It's amazing good and makes your hair soft and silky. Squeeze it on your hand (at first it feels gooey and gross but, it works!) start at the roots and work your way down. ';Biosilk'; works well on damp/wet/ and dry hair.Best straightener??
i have a remington wet to straight that works amazingly well! i have really thick wavy hair that takes about 10-15 minutes to straighten after i dry it. i wouldn't advise you to straighten while your hair is wet though.
get a chi I've had mine for over a year and my hair is ';butt length'; still works great... they make a new one for wet to dry....
so is mine

i got a maxiglide or wutever its called [[no its not a tampon]] and it works really good

its one from an infamercial or somethin

i've had it for like a yr and it hasnt broke yet
I have been using my chi straightener for about 2 years now and its still working perfectly. I could also suggest paul mitchell hair straighteners and they cost about the same. You can get both at Trade Secret
go to folica.com

What's the best straightener?

I have heard of the Chi straightener and the Sedu, but I'm wondering whats the best. I have this straightener.

http://www.sallybeauty.com/tourmaline-fl/a>

I like it but I want the best one. What's the best straightener?
the Solia Straight irons are great. They're cheaper than chi, but work better without the CHI sprays. They get hot reallyq uick, and stay hot without constantly frying your hair, and they're quite portable and light.

http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1/a>

If not, i have seen wonderful results from FHI, and Sedu, both of which are exceptional irons.

Chi's are great irons, but from what i've seen, your going to need to spend buttloads of money on the heat sprays and shampoos made by Chi to get the results you want without frying your hairWhat's the best straightener?
Chi!

I've had my chi for over a year now and i absolutley love it!

i've heard of some peoples breaking, but mine still hasn't. it heats up so fast, and works absolutley amazing. i have naturally curly/wavy hair, and most straightners take half an hour to an hour to straighten my hair, but chi literally takes 10 to 15 minutes. it's great.
Actually besides those two. Chi is the one I have but the one I've noticed that gets the hottest and isn't nearly as expensive is the GVP, Generic Value Products: http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-SA-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=SBS-264856%26amp;dwvar_SBS-264856_color=Black
I think you should get a cheaper straightener that works really good.

But personally i use the Infinity by Conair 1-Inch Straightener every single day, and its perfect(: not that pricey either. It heats up in about 10 seconds :D and works reaaaaally good. At costco its about $30.00 ? But at other stores its about $50.00.
i have the Chi and its pretty good, my hair is just hard to straighten no matter what but it heats up in like two seconds flat so thats a really nice amenity! and it cools down pretty fast as well.

its kind of expensive though so if price is an issue, you might want to reconsider your options.
i have a sedu and its ahhhmazing

i love my sedu :)

it keeps ur hair silky smooth and straight for a long time and it makes it shiny too and plus it cuts back ur straighting time

good luck :)
Listen very carefully, the best is GHD %26amp; you asked for the best -costs money, but it actually, get this, changes the texture of your hair. GHD IS THE VERY BEST ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW.
ghd is the best hair straightener you can buy it is proven

try looking at that its a bit pricey but it is the best
I use a CHI

=]
if you know what ulta is......there is a really awesome straightner there that works great =]
GHD are the best hair straighteners in the world!!!!!!!!!!

What is the best straightener?

chi or corioliss? What is the best straightener?
neither.

Sedu is made out of tourmaline gemstones, which is even more protective than ceramic

you can order one really cheap off of folica.com

just search SeduWhat is the best straightener?
chi sucks!!!! it breaks within a year

i've never heard of the other 1

answer my question please?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;/a>
I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.
i have the chi wet dry and i love it! it heats up really fast, and works great. i have thick and frizzy hair, and by straightening it, it gets rid of alot of moisture! i turn it on when i wake up, get dressed, and its already heated!
chi i have 1
the more exopensive one!!!

well a straightener isa straightenerr..

it just depends if you have he patience to straighten it...if you dont then get an expensive one that gets really hot!

=DD

What is the best straightener?

Any others beside the CHI??? I had a CHI for almost a year, and it went out on me...I would like to try another brand. I have realllly long, thick hair, so I prefer it be a higher end straightner! Thanks so much!!!What is the best straightener?
Ugh Chi's suck, I went through 3 of them in two months all had the same wiring problem, thank god the salon took them back =(

Anyways, GHD's are good, but I found it damaged my hair more than any other straightener, I have thick, but fine hair.

The Solia (on folica.com) I find is almost as good as ghd, and a fraction of the price.

The sedu revolution is Amazing, but it doesnt curl well. I like to curl with my straightener, so that turned me off. But other than that its amazing, def better than ghd.

The FHI Platform is my fave. It doesnt damage my hair, is actually pure ceramic, curls, straightens and makes hair look amazing.

Hope that helps!

If you do decide to go with GHD, beware of fakes, make sure wherever you buy from is ghd approved. Asos.com is ghd approved and has them on for only $170!What is the best straightener?
GHD's are immense.

If you have long thick hair, I would go for the version with the widest plates.

They are quite expensive but, tempting as it may be, dont get them off eBay as they are probably gonna be rubbish.

I have a pair (borrowed) and they are so quick to heat p and to straighten with, and you can curl with them as well. Well, I cant, but that is because I have too short hair.

Amazon do regular good deals.

Try: http://www.amazon.co.uk/ghd-Salon-Styler/a>

or http://www.amazon.co.uk/ghd-IV-Styler-Ha/a>

Or, straight from the website:http://www.ghdhair.com/ghd-iv-salon-styl/a>

Of course, if you do decide to buy via eBay (or similar) then the website have a page of what to look out for:

http://www.ghdhair.com/customer-care/cou/a>

It includes stuff like the country it's shipping from, too good to be true prices etc.

Good luck!

xx
Paul Mitchell has an awesome straightener that makes your hair really shiny as well.

http://www.folica.com/Paul_Mitchell_F_d2/a>

It's lasted her hair dresser 3 years! I've heard the same about CHI so I decided not to spend as much on it. But bc I loved her flat iron, I bought a ';cheaper'; version of the Paul Mitchell, by Remington which adds Avocado oil in your hair as you iron for smoothenss. I only paid $60 at Target, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll last me more than a year bc I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I also read in a magazine that FHI was voted the best, and my stylist told me about a ';Jilbere'; that they use at the salon, but I've never heard of it.
Im not sure if its remington or revlon that makes it but it the wet/dry straightener. Its amazing and it has multiple settings too.....my boyfriend bought me a CHI for valentines day and i used it three times and went back to my old wet/dry.....and its only 20 bucks at walmart =)
one that costs more than $40....

if you buy cheaper, they *suck*

i have one and it was $15 (i got it for christmas though)...says it's ';professional'; but it's not! ahhahaha

answer mine! please???http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind/a>
I also have a CHI did you buy it on ebay cause there was an atricle on how people were making fake CHI's and they would go out on people. If you didnt then you should try Hair ART I heard there abit better than the CHI's these two are one off the top irons
the bio ionic straightner works pretty well. i think it is kind of expensive but it is better for your hair and it heats up in like 5 seconds.
GHD are amazing they are expensive but are soo worth it
the WET TO STRAITE one works really well and only about 25$ at walmart
i prefer braun. It's the best!!!!!!

it helpful, it's good for curly hair, it makes it Straight.

What is THE BEST straightener?

it can be kind of expensive. you know, not conair or anything like that. thanks! What is THE BEST straightener?
the sedu is really good i woulnd get the chi though cause it's breaks in a year so i woulndt get it but the sedu is really goodWhat is THE BEST straightener?
CHI is the best, but do not buy it from target, they sell CHI products ILLEGALLY!!
a chi from target
CHI!!! its amazing!

other typical straighteners may seem great the first 30 uses but eventually the strength begins to decrease.

I bought my chi on eBay brand new still in packaging for 80$ which is really good. I've had it for 5 months no, and i absolutely love it!!!! May be a bit pricey but its truly worth it!!

Good luck!!
Chi. :-)

Just got one, and it rocks my socks.
Solia or CHI.

Most people are going to say CHI, and it is a great flat iron, but it does not last long. Alot of the time they will stop working after 6-12 months.

Solia work just as well as CHIs, but dont break as often and are cheaper.
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602/a>

i swear....it works wonders!
Chi is one of the better flat iron out there but run about $100.

HOWEVER Chi was originally available at salons because they get up to 400 degrees. Use caution when flat iroing your hair because if you leave it in one spot too long it can ';fry'; your hair. leaving it looking frizzy and chewed up. Purchase the best Salon shampoo you can afford as well.

  • What is the best straightener?

my hair is really curly and i want it straight which one should i get? What is the best straightener?
Sedu is the truth girlee. Makes your hair straighter than life. What is the best straightener?
Though most people would say the CHI, I have tried it and didn't like it all that much. My friends, who all have naturally wavy hair (mine is naturally curly and frizzy), LOVE it. Maybe it's better for wavy-haired people.

I personally ADORE the Conair Infiniti Cordless Straightener (the black one). It works really well (although you do have to replace it back in the stand to ';recharge'; every few minutes, so it's not QUITE cordless).
i have a chi, and it works really well.

    my friends with thick curly hair use it %26amp;

it works for them. but if you are going to use

it a lot you should buy the CHI heat protector

or any other product along the lines to

keep you hair shiny and so it doesnt fry (:

if you want it permantly straight they have

a chemical treatment at the salon but i dont

    really know anything about that.

    hope this helps (:
I have the CHI. I have had it two years, and it works as well as the day I bought it. I have no split ends, my hair isn't fried, and I have curly, THICK hair. I use the thermal heat protectant before I straighten it. And all the CHI hair products work wonders. I would look them up and decide which ones are best for you. If you want to invest in a straightener, this is the one. It's the best one on the market. I've tried them all.
Personally I would have to go with the CHI. I have really really curly hair. I have my own straightner thats not the CHI. But I am going to get one soon. Everytime I get my haircut my hair dresser uses her CHI to straighten my hair. It does an amazing job on my really really curly hair. I think this would be the best choice for you. Make sure you get a product you can spray on your hair before using your straightner. This will protect your hair from any damage and split ends. Also make sure to never straighten your hair when wet. Even if your straightner says it can straighten wet hair. its probably not true. This damages your hair a lot! I hope this helps!
    Use ceramic tools.

one-inch wide ones work good because you don't need width, it just gets in the way and you can get right down into the roots.

And long ones, like 6 inches are also good because you can get lots at the same time.

Alsoo, never use the wet-dry straighteners or that setting - it works like crap.

and don't get one from Kmart or Walmart or CVS or something because they won't work well, get a Ceramic Tools one from a local beauty supply store. Beauty supply stores will also have employees who can help you get what you're looking for.

Ohhh and you should get one that has settings and put it up to it's very highest, even if it goes to 400 degrees or something :) get one that goes up wayyy high.

But don't pay more than 60 dollars for it.

Haha lotsa infoo. Good luck :)
Japanese straightening technique. it's about $100-$200, professionally.

DIY, infiniti by Conair is not so bad at all. besides, obtain a heat 'resist' gel/liquid so your hair wont get burned. hair straightener can damage your hair severely if do it too frequently.
i have a 'Conair Infiniti Professional 2 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron'

it works awesome! i love it! it would make your hair very straight and that silky feel.. i would consider buying one that has a 2 in. plate and a dial to set it on a temp. you want. GO CONAIR! =D

    good luck =)
i think that international the hair straightener is the best, you just do it once and the part of your hair is done you can find it on the internet.
Alright so I've been asking this question a lot lately. I used to have a CHI, but it breaks fast and fried my ends. I would suggest the Sedu, go to Folica.com and see for yourself. It is the top rated and has before/after pictures. Hoped this helps!
    CHI
    The SEDU
I have a $100 chi and my mom has $30-$40 one from Target. I like them both the same.
    CHI
    Solia Pink limited Edition

i have that one, and It works amazing,
    defentally chi!
Whatever you do do not get one that can straighten ';wet'; hair those never work...

i would go with Chi myself

    Best straightener?

i have curly/wavy hair and i lik to straighten it especialyy during the fall and winter. I currently have the bed head straightener and its horrrrrible! i want something that will work with my hair wet. I also dont want it 2 damage my hair or anything. and nothing over 150Best straightener?
I have Extremly curly hair i ended up looking everywhere.

finally i found this one at the mall at one of those center

pieces and its called Remington Wet2Straight.

    its Amazing.

Works on wet and dry hair.

    Good Luck!Best straightener?
The best hair product to straight in your hair is olive oil.

There are lots of froms of this product, the spray, liquid from and also the hair prtection from the sun's ray. I have alot of trouble with starightening my hair but everything is solved now fro me. You need the conair hair straightener. It's the best when you put the olive oil spray, it gets really straight.

Remember conair its the best with the olive oil spray take my word.
i would use any conair company i hav 1 at home i think there great you could find it anywhere look at a buety salon but i think they ovr price so i usallly get mine at a pharacy they usally sell it around 40-60. also if you want tht straight look i would use sunsilk[straight to porfection] iuse this product in the winter and i hav my hair wavey and beachey in the summer i hop this product helps you.
Ive heard the Chi is really awesome, kind of expensive, but worth it in the long run!!

Dont get a wet to dry straightener, they are soo bad for your hair, your hair will be so fried there will be no saving it.
I really liked the Sedu, go to Folica.com and look at the top rated hair irons Answer mine please: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;/a>
You should not use the wet/dry flat irons. Those are absolutely HORRIBLE for your hair. Invest in a Paul Mitchell or HAI brand flat iron. They run about 80-125 dollars but they are well worth the $$.
I would say Chi irons or Sedu%26lt;-- I heard they are pretty good. Even Solia is good.
    GHD's
    CHI
I love my CHI! Its def the best I have ever had!

    Mine cost around $120!

    Whats the best straightener?

I recently got a sedu revolution 2009 and i was skeptical at first because i don't like trying new things..anyway i got it and its not that its a bad straightener but its not like my old one do u think i got a lemon or should I have just stuck with my old sedu Ceramic straightener??? what is the best one??Whats the best straightener?
The original CHI is the best.Or a Revlon ceramic if you can find one.Whats the best straightener?
If you want a really good straightener, the high end is CHI, they are $139, so it depends on your price range. They work sooo good:) Get one:)
the best one is chi and they have really cute styles for all types of hair and i think u should get that, some of them are cheap
    HANDS DOWN

    CHI

    What is the best straightener?

What is the best straightener to get? Right now i have $20 one and the effects are starting to show. It makes my hair dry. And when i tried straightening my bangs, it made the tips look white! ahh! Which straightener would you recommend? I have thick wavy/curly hairWhat is the best straightener?
a comb in hot water.. thats how we used to do it back in da dayWhat is the best straightener?
Try a chi or a ghd!

    hope this helps.
My hair is REALLLLY thick and annoying too!

I heard the 'BedHead' really works. Its about $28 at a Marshalls store

and about $70 at Kohl's and $60 at a Walgreens drug store.
My sister has a hair straightener that she got at a hair salon and it works really well. You know how with those chemist brands you have to hold the straightener for a while in the same spot or drag it down really slowly. Well this one if you did that your hair would be fried.

It works super well and someone who she used to work with ran it over with their car and it still works, but it just doesn't hold as well. But I would recommend going down to a hair salon and asking them what kind would be best. The thing is though that liek all worth whiel things. Its pretty expensive. I think it cost her more than a hundred bucks.
I have Remingtons High Protection Fabric Straightener, and I love it! It has a layer of fabric covering the ceramic plates which is supposed to protect your hair against heat. I think you should get this one because it leaves your hair looking straight and shiny! And it's not expensive either!
i also hav thick wavy hair

and the chi works really well but i also hav a conair one that was like 80$ and it gets to be like 250-300 degrees or something and i think it works just as well
i have curly hair and i have gone through about 5 different ones . but the most recent on i have is a RUSK hair straightner i got it 4 weeks ago and i love it leaves my hair shiny and soft
the chi. definatly. it works soooo well. my hair is extremly curly and i can streighten it in 30 min with the Chi

What would be the best Straightener outa of these (website below) to use on THICK THICK THICK curly hair?

    http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng./a>

Ya so I have extremley thick hair my dad is white and has had an afro my mom has really curly hair too so I guess it's in my genes. I don't wanna spend over $50 if thats possibe and please please please don't say a CHI because I really just dont have the money at the moment (just bought all new clothes for school). I will possible get a chi when I have the money. So what do ya think? What would be the best Straightener outa of these (website below) to use on THICK THICK THICK curly hair?
Wet 2 Straight Remington is the best hair straightener out there. My hair is really thick and wavy and it gos straight. Its under 50 bucks~What would be the best Straightener outa of these (website below) to use on THICK THICK THICK curly hair?
well GHD's are really nice but expensive!

I wanted to but the chi.I am not going to spend a 200 dollars for a straightener ,you never know straight hair might go out of season.

So I bought the Remington Sleek and curl.Ughh I have thick curly hair too.I cut my hair in layers and thinned it helps..

So here's my straightener it works well but it takes a while to do my hair 20 minutes.

    http://www.target.com/Remington-Tourmali/a>

I like it you can curl and straighten your hair.
Nothing came up but I have a suggestion...

I have thick, wavy hair and the best straighteners I've ever used are Vidal Sassoon Hair Hydration ones. You can set the temperature from 130 to 230 degrees and it has ceramic plates and they are ionic. I live over in the UK and they were 拢24.99 and they suit my hair better than GHD's. You can either get one like this or save up, depends how much you need it.
GHD is the best straightening iron, far better than a chi. They are about $200, so save money up for one- it's what I do. I suggest getting one with 2 inch plates.

Right now I use a remmington wet 2 straight. It isn't that great, but it's ok, it cost me $20. But trust me, save up for a GHD! CHI's are known to break down, and therefor a horrible $100 investment. GHD's and Sedu's are great, though. Sedu's are actually the best flat iron on folica and on other sites.

    GHD: http://www.ghdhair.com/ghd-iv-salon-styl/a>

    Sedu: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Pro_Ionic__d1/a>

    Wet 2 Straight: http://www.target.com/Remington-Wet-Stra/a>
You really can't beat GHD straighteners. they are the best in my opinion and I have a friend with really curly hair who swears by them also. They are expensive but totally worth it and you can also getthe version with the wider plates for thick hair
hi i use GHDs and they are brilliant you can buy them online and they will ship them over to America (i live in England) and they are not that expensive, if you find them too pricey try online auctions eg Ebay. hope this helps :)
try a t3 glow from target when you get the money. I have friends who have chis and say mine is better :) and its only about $80! So, just save up and get a really cheap one in the mean time, the andis are pretty good and REALLY cheap
    GHD

Babyliss 230 (Just as good as GHD)

There really aren't any type of straighteners that are better than these two. I own both of them and even though they are expensive, they are well worth the money
if you have a Sally's anywheres or near you they have awesome straightners and lots of deals, i also have thick curly hair
    GHD's (:
Yeah Sally's is good I go there too!

    Best straightener?

I need a straightener/curler (probably 1'; so i can curl my hair with it also)

I want a somewhat cheap straightener that I can get at a lot of places.

what are some good brands/names of hair straighteners?

if a hair straightener says cermic or tourmaline does that mean 100% or just coated? I want one that I can use a lot and WILL NOT burn or fry my hair.

I want to get one today so best answer gets 10 points today!!!Best straightener?
    Sedu Flat Iron

    It's not cheap - it's $100.

    But it's worth it!

They say it's 100% tourmaline and it's the ONLY flat iron that doesn't 'just coat' it with tourmaline. It was voted the #1 flat iron by Allure magazine.

And unlike other flat irons, it leaves your hair silky after every use!

I'm not kidding. It doesn't fry your hair at all! It even says on the box that it doesn't damage hair.

Oh and another thing is that it's a ceramic tourmaline straightener. So yeah.

    You can purchase it in a 1'; or 1 1/2';

    And it's very small, so it can get in many places. Also, the 1'; curls better than 1 1/2';

I really recommend this straightener - it's well worth spending $100 as opposed to a CHI flat iron, which run for $200 and fry your hair! CHI flat irons break very easily! In 6 months or so. But i've used my Sedu for about 2 years and it still works great! Don't listen to the person above me that said CHI's are the best - they clearly aren't.

    So buy the Sedu!

I've used cheap straightener's from target and they suck! I got a lot of split ends from that and my hair got dry and gross.

Professional flat irons, like the Sedu, are much much better.

    But Sedu is the best!

    So buy it!Best straightener?
I have a HerStyle and it works really good to curl or straighten,

And it does not fry your hair at all

They tested it with cotton balls clamped in it at full heat

    :)

    Try them they are nice
chi!!!! they come in all shapes and sizes...and colors!!!!!
    conair
    it's coated all...
You want one that has ceramic plates, they are the best. Don't buy the wet2straight ones, the steam from drying your hair will blister it. Bed Head is a good brand.
definitely ceramic plates..... those are best. I really like conair because it's not too expensive and you can adjust the heat. You can find conair at tons of places. And also, be sure to get a heat protectant\thermal styling spray to protect your hair or you'll burn it.
    Wigo
    Chii
Well I recommend, Remington, I would recommend GHD's I have them but they burn your hair and you get split ends very easily =| So Remington, is probably the best, you can change the temperature and everything, its quiet cheap.

    Good Luck

    xx
I personally live by my Chi straightener, lol. They're a little pricier, but definitely worth it. That's all I've used for the past 5 years and I've never had any issues with it (frying your hair, etc). And if you take good care of it, it'll last you a long time. I had my first one for 4 years and only bought a newer version to slightly upgrade. So, you may pay the extra bucks now, but it definitely pays off in the long run. Hope that helped! =]
    Ceramic

    * Some models are made entirely of ceramic. With others just the plates are ceramic

    * They heat up much faster than metal and aren鈥檛 as heavy

    * The type most often use by professional stylists

    * Ceramic tends to distribute the most even amount of heat and slide easily down the hair

    * Ceramic can sometimes overheat which runs the risk of damaging your hair

Use Conair..its only about $24! =D...its really good...nd it heats up really fast...they have different sizes, so im sure that they'll have the size you are looking for!
I would get a CHI, but theyre really expensive, over $100. But theyre honestly the best kind and don't burn.

Around $30-$40???, can be found @ Wal-Mart or somewhere not too rare or out of the way. Thanks!!What is the best straightener??
I would totally save to get a chi, they have them at target now.

    its worth every penny.

i have wavy frizzy hair, (its basically a huge blonde mess if i don't straighten it.) and the chi is the best thing I've ever gotten.

It works great, you don't have to go over a spot 50000 times, and its 100% ceramic so it doesn't damage your hair. It's totally the only thing i would recommend buying. What is the best straightener??
    okay i got an idea

you can find it at JCPenny's and Redkien stores and sometimes at the mall
okay i know alot of ppl might say chi is the best.. but to me i think remington works alot better... they have it at wal mart thats where i got mine.. its i think $40 now..

    well heres how it lookz

    http://im.edirectory.co.uk/p/1212/i/rems/a>
I would get something with 100% Ceramic Iron

They work the best, plus they don't burn your hair and leave it dry and dull.

Try to find something you can use on wet hair as well to save you some time on blowdrying
If you have an Ulta near you, the Remington straighteners are really good for their price (they run from about $30-$50). I've had mine for over 2 years and it stills works well.
if your going to wal mart the most expensive one will probably work the best. if you want to splurge though get a chi. they work the best

    What is the best straightener?

so my hair straightener is absolutely ancient so i was hoping for the the holidays the year to ask for a new one. my hair is dark brown, very long, very thick, and VERY FRIZZY. I want a straightener that will make it very soft and shiny without totally damaging my hair. i know it can be done because my cousin straightened my hair with her straightener once and i came out beautiful but i don't what kind it was. Also i need the straightener to be reletively affordable. Any ideas? links would be helpful, thanks! What is the best straightener?
Try Instyler,it will fit for your demands.and it is amazing i have used ,The secret to the InStyler lies in its rotating heated polishing cylinder, along with four rows of precision-aligned bristles. the second set of bristles puts the finishing touch on your hair, Finally, leaving you with shiny, silky. What is the best straightener?
My mom has this straightener called the Chi by Global Beauty andd it was $60. It works really well andd if you use Silk Therapy by BIOSILK it wont damage your hair andd it will make ir soft andd silky, That was like $10. Hope This Helps:)
a CHI straightener is good because it makes your hair feel more silky and healthy rather than dry and damaged.
    Ghd

What would you consider the best straightener?

What is the best quality straightener for the best price? i am not looking to spend anymore then $120. i have owned the sedu ionic ceramic tourmaline before but the wires got lose inside and it quit working. i've also used the solia tourmaline ceramic one before. is there anything better then these?

just so you know i have hair just past my shoulders and plan on growing it longer. it is fairly frizzy if i dont put mousse in it. and i havent been straightening it for a long time. its pretty thick, but has been breaking on the ends. after i do straighten it it usually goes curly again later in the day. it is naturally curly/wavy and doesnt like the humidityWhat would you consider the best straightener?
get a CSI straightener they are the best iv used evey thing from 10.00 dollars and up and its the best one iv ever had will never use any thing else go to hair starighters and they have a csi for 72.00 dollars and free shipping or go out and buy one csi is the best

What would be the best Straightener outa of these (website below) to use on THICK THICK THICK curly hair?

I will possible get a chi when I have the money. So what do ya think? What would be the best Straightener outa of these (website below) to use on THICK THICK THICK curly hair?

i have this one and it works great

    Best Straightener!?

    What's a good straightener brand you've used?Best Straightener!?
the best hair straightner would be the CHI, SOLIA, FEDU and GHD, hair straightner lots of celeb hair stylist uses it and even i do,i use the CHI its one of the best one out there, it doesnt damage your hair or leave that burnt smell in your hair. It leaves ur hair silky smooth and shiney and it works soooooo GOOD! im telling you.... you should get one its pretty pricey depends in which one your getting, and you can get it at any hair salon or online....=D

    Good Luck!Best Straightener!?
revel its from paris i think and its very good but the best one costs 200 quids
    GHD

but it is the most expensive and it is used by most professionals

they have a 2 year warranty

and so many more amazing features

    definately worth the $300
CHI is always a good one. Babyliss is TERRIBLE. Also never use conair for anything if you can avoid it. Anything ceramic, thin, with high enough heat should do the trick. But one key learning from years of using hair straighteners: never pay more than $200 for one, if you do you're getting ripped off. I once bought one from Toni %26amp; Guy for $300 and it was the biggest mistake.
GHD straighteners are the best I've used, can be quite pricey but definitely worth it
    WELLA.

    What's the BEST straightener?

For really curly hair, that is like less than 100 dollars. What's the BEST straightener?
    Remington definately!!

  • What is the best straightener?

I am a white chick and I have very thick curly hair and I am looking for a product not a flat iron. I have tried a child's relaxer before but it made my hair stringy.and bungee-like. I need something that will work. I am willing to pay a little just to not always have the curls, i would love to wake up in the morning, wash my hair and not have to worry about putting mousse or gel in it so it doesn't go frizzy...

PLEASE HELP!What is the best straightener?
ghd! best ever! What is the best straightener?
i used ghd and i think it's the best hair straightener. the price pays.
Hello, I am a stylist. Girl, if you have very thick hair, a child's relaxer was not strong enough. It's okay for you to use a regular relaxer. Don't use super unless you have tried regular first. There is also a process called Japanese straightening but you will have to call around to salons in your area to see who offers it. Hope this helps and feel free to message me for more info!

What is the best STRAIGHTENER ?

Just curious . i want a new oneWhat is the best STRAIGHTENER ?
Depends. Go to a salon and talk about it. All hair is diffrent and requires diffrent things. What is the best STRAIGHTENER ?
It depends on what type of hair you have. I have small waves in my hair and I use the straightener from Bed Head. I've had it for 2 years and i love it!
well obviously a ceramic one but you should go to Ulta to get a straightener they have alot of good ones there.
do u mean a stargeing comb or a flat iron? well it depends on your hair...try going 2 a hair dresser...but i got avon...........n i think a comb would be best
Ghd. I love mine. I got the purple for xmas. It's really good. The best thing is your hair stays straight for like, days.
    CHI
well all the Chi straighteners are really good

    but they are expensive

    What is the best straightener?

what do you think is the best straightener for thick curly/wavy hair? What is the best straightener?
Sedu. It is about 130 dollars. They quickly heat up...What is the best straightener?
ppl can say wut they want but the best straightener is a Chi!
I have a Conair Infiniti. It works great! It has 5 different heat settings. They are really high heat settings, which is good if you have really curly/wavy, or really thick hair. I've used it for a long time and I do not have any split ends and my hair isn't damaged from it. I've never had a problem with it and it heats up in 30 seconds. Its pretty cheap, around $40. Hope this helps!
Defnitely Chi straghtners, their about 70-80$$$

    But their worth it =DDD
    rusk straighteners.

    What is the best straightener?

I'm looking for a new straightener. One that doesn't damage hair and makes it really sleek and extremely straight. Any suggestions??What is the best straightener?
The straightener I got last year is the best I have every used. All of my friends have it too. It is called Coriollis, I got it at the mall, like one of those island-stand things. It works really well and you can straighten and curl your hair. What is the best straightener?
make sure that u get one that has solid ceramic plates.
do you mean a flat ron styling tool or a permanent chemical hair straightening?

Flat iron would be Farouk Systems flat irons, they are ionic, do not pull or pinch or burn hair. ceramic plates. well worth the cost.

Farouk Systems also makes a Transformation System that chemically straigtens hair. Also Quick Smooth that smooths it. I am a professional hairstylist in Texas. HTH
    Ella Or chi
    Chi
    Use a professional one.
Chi is really good, they run around $100 though.I think its well worth your money.
Anything Revlon- Not totally expensive and very affective---Ulta has a wide selection of Revlon Straightners
    chi it works great
CHI is worth every penny. It is important that you protect your hair prior to applying the heat to it. You can use the CHI silk infusion- just apply a dime size amount in your hand. It is not greasy or anything (you can ebay the big bottle). You can also try Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy- also just use a dime size amount (ebay the big bottle). If you apply heat to your hair often weekly, make sure you deep condition your hair so it does not become damaged. Good luck!
The best straightening method is done in salons only and you will not have access to products unless you are a hair professional yourself.

It's a japanese methode called ';Thermal reconditionning';. It does also last 6 months and cost quite a bit considering the length and thickness of your mane.

Two brand names Yuko and Liscio.
I use a Revlon ceramic straightener. I don't know what the model is called, but it's slim and black with gold plates. It has heat levels (1-25) for all different hair types. My hair is really thick and frizzy, and the straightener makes my hair look really sleek and straight (I use level 20-25). It's pretty cheap, $20-$30 I think, and I've had it for 3 years and it still works like it did the first day I got it! They sell them at Target and lots of other places. Good luck!
A flat iron. I have very curly hair and I love my flat iron. Just get a good conditioner made for irons and get a good quality iron, like a Chi.
From my friends who use them, I'm told the ceramic ones work best. Myself, I prefer a big round brush and a good hairdryer. The brush I like is ceramic and made by Prego. It gets nice and straight and shiny. Good luck!
I've tried everything and no luck. Tell me if you find something.
You have to go ';ionic';. It's expensive but it is worth it. I've seen the results first hand and it's very impressive.
I am not sure either . i would like to know though .
Product revews, price comparison and best price.

Wet 2 Straight ones are great. I have really curly hair and when i want to staright my hair i can just have a shower before hand and put leave in conditioner and stuff in it before i straighten it so it doesnt all try out.

    What is the best straightener?

mine's really old and i would like to buy a new one, but i cant decide between chi or corioliss or ghd or any other thats good.

which do you recommend? What is the best straightener?
Recommend that you buy the Paul Mitchell Express Ion Smooth.

Hands down the best straightener I've ever used and seen used on different hair types. The stylists in the salon I go to use this straightener and have clients of different races and it works great for everyone. My daughter鈥檚 hair is naturally curly and reverts back to curls with the slightest bit of humidity. I swear to you her hair stayed straight without frizzing for days. The straightener also makes the hair feel softer, instead of the fried feeling it had with the Chi. She didn't want to shampoo her hair because she was afraid it wouldn't straighten that way again. It did!

Here's what it looks like and more info about it.

    http://www.paulmitchell.com/Products/Pau/a>What is the best straightener?
    CHI!!!

got a ghd cause i thought it would be better than the chi.

    it was horrible.

    stick with the the chi!!!

its amazinngg. just used it like 5 min ago!!
    OMG A CHI no question!!!!
    CHI!!!!!!! best onee
definitely GHD it works beautifully i got it

  • What is the best straightener?

I have long blonde/brown hair. What is the best straightener i can get other than CHI. I know that's the best one, but its too expensive. So what is a good alternative? O and should I go with a really skinny iron or a wider one? Thanks! What is the best straightener?
Yes, I know that the Chi is expensive... including for just to straighten your hair. So i am ging to give you this web site that I thought might help you out with your problem!! LOL I hope it helps =)What is the best straightener?
i think theres one called the nano flat iron that they have at my hair salon thats not that expensive and works well
I got a Wet to Straight straightener. Its by Remington and it works great! You can straighten your hair even when its wet!
CHI is the best hair straightener over all. So, everyone should buy chi hair straightener.
BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Ultra Thin 1'; Iron.
I suggest a skinny straightener that way you can curl, flip, and straighten.

My faves are: the CHI- works well, but it straightens VERY slowly and you have to go over your a hair a billion times to get it straight which makes it staticky.

And the CORIOLISS- this straightener is my absolute favorite and i suggest it! it does your hair in half the time of the normal straightener and leaves it looking great!

btw make sure you use CHI 44 IRON GUARD spray on hair before straightening and allow it to dry (so it won't burn your hair) to get a healthier not burnt look.
you should go to sally beauty salon and have them pick out one that they think would work best with your hair( most of their straighteners are a good price) that way you can get the best straightener for your hair type. goodluck, i hope i helped!
NOOOO CHI ISN'T GOOD!!!!!! DON'T GET CHI!!!!

i recently got a T3 tourmaline, ceramic wide wet to dry straightener by Bespoke Labs.

i love it!!!!! it makes your hair shiny and soft. and it can work on wet or dry. it only takes 10 minutes!!!
I use remmington wet to straight. It gets really hot (375 degrees), is wide, only $30 and you can get it at Fred Meyer. Plus you can straighten your hair wet =)

Are Chis really the BEST straightener?

Ive been using a conair straightener for like3 months.

and its totally damaged my hair.

    Its all dry.

And the ends are broke or burnt or watever.lol

It totally just ruined my healthy hair.

And and i have my hair bleached platinume blonde on top, and dyed brown on bottom, but it WAS NOT DAMAGED AFTER I GOT IT DONE.

It was damaged AFTER i started using that straightener.

It got more and more damaged.

    And now its just awful.

Ive heard that chis are the BEST.

But I don't want 2 be 1 of those people that switch straighteners like they do hair styles and shampoos.

Im 1 of those peeps that use a lot of diff hair products, i switch mooses, jells, etc.

I want 2 make sure if im going 2 spend a lot of money or watever, i want 2 use that and be fully satisfied.

I mean is it the BEST straightener? Are Chis really the BEST straightener?
    Edit:

Well that's a plus. Think about the positive, imagine what your hair would look like if you didn't use the protection spray? Maybe you should use a bit more, especially since your hair has a lot of color in it. My stylist sprays my whole head with a Paul Mitchell heat protection spray prior to straightening since I too have tons of color in my hair.

Well did you use a heat block spray/gel when you straightened your hair? If not, then that's your problem. Always use a heat block/guard when applying ANY type of heat to your hair. Even if you do get a Chi, without a heat guard spray, your hair is doomed.

Now, the Chi is great, I own one and love it. It heats up fast, curls my hair really well (even though it's a straightner, I found a way to make curls) and doesn't get dangerously hot like other straighteners in the non-heat adjustable straightener category. However, it's far from the best out there. I believe that the best straighteners out there are made by Paul Mitchell. Look him up. Also, Paul Mitchell products could only be bought in a salon, so if you see it being sold at like CVS or something, then it's a knockoff (Yes, CVS and other stores do sell knock off Paul Mitchell products legally. Don't ask me how that works out with the law system, but it does. O.o) Good luck and don't forget that heat guard!

P.S. Any brand of heat guard should work fine. As long as there is something protecting your hair! Are Chis really the BEST straightener?
no ,, i mean the chi does make ur hair straight , But it damages ur hair A LOT because u cant adjust the temperature =)

so its not worth the money

right now i have a jilbere de paris it makes my hair really straight and its only 20 bucks in sallys ,, and i wear the heat protection spray from herbal essencees ,,

ive been straightening my hair for 2 years and its not that damaged

    hope this helps :)
i had a chi hair straightener and it worked pretty bomb for the first 2 years. Then it broke on me, but i didnt take care of it. But i mean all straighteners are going to damage your hair. before you straighten your hair use a serum on the ends, and that should kinda help.
    Defiantly invest in one!

The tiles on them are infused with oils and junk

so they don't damage your hair.

i had a corilosise it worked alright and then i got

my chi and it was ten times better.

    i strongly recomend chis.
If you are asking if conair is the best straightner no. CHI Straightener is the bomb because it heats up in like 2 minutes doesn't damage your hair and makes it hecka straight. If you do get CHI get the pink Flat Iron.
the chi works good, but I also LOVE the flat iron I have, and personally, it works better than the chi.

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/jilbere-nano-/a>
    Uhhhh~

The reason your hair broke is because it's damaged. Try a heat protection spray next time you straighten.

Chis are really good; I use Croc as well, but they get even hotter which is not what your hair needs, obviously.
no matter what all straightners are going to damage your hair.

i went to ulta and they said i should get a chi it's the most recommended, it works great for me

    everybody has different opinions
yeah i have really curly hair and i have a chi it works really good but just make sure you put in some heat spary or cream so that your hair stays healthy
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

chis are really expensive and not worth it, i have a revlon one i got at walmart for under 20 bucks and it works great. but the only thing that really matters is how hot your straightener gets you can get a really good one for around 40 bucks all sally's or any beauty product store. and as far as damage goes it doesnt matter what kind you get, heat is bad for your hair but its probally your own hair or you just straighten it too much, try putting hate protectant spray or cream in your hair while its damp then when its dry it'll be fien and you wont have as much damage

Is the Chi the best straightener/flat iron?

Okay so I have very thick curly hair and I like to wear it straight every once in awhile when I have time to fix it (I have a 4 month old lol so sometimes, there is no time).

I want to get a good flat iron that won't damage my hair too bad, and will straighten it pretty fast and make it pretty :o) My friend bought the Chi and she said it was really expensive, is this one the best? If it will last a long time and work good I will buy it but I don't know if it is worth it. Also where do I buy one?Is the Chi the best straightener/flat iron?
I think you need some GHD's everyone i know swears by them, and once you get them there'll be no going back to normal straightners, google them and you can buy direct from the maufacturer, its what all the salons use here in England !Is the Chi the best straightener/flat iron?
Yes the Chi is really good, but it has no heat settings, which could be a problem. I don't think it let's out steam either when your using it. I suggest you buy a good, expensive hair straightener at a beauty store (NOT A DRUG STORE) and see what will work best for you. It may be expensive but they last a while!

Try the Sedu, I'm sure it has heat settings and supposedly it's the best flat iron out there, beats the Chi at least =]
i have an AMIKA....it works GREAT...it curls and flips too. And it's pretty cheap. You can get it New from ebay for only $72 which is pretty cheap compared to other straightening irons. Trust me, this works. I have the CURLIEST hair and it works great. The curls are beautiful too, but its kinda hard to get used to curl with it, but its def worth it once you figure out how to do it. Flips are pretty easy to do. I can show you before/after pics of my hair if you want.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/AMIKA-PINK-1-ULTRA-N/a>
Yes! The chi is definately the best. I've been using mine for five years, and my hair is not damaged at all. They are expensive, but definately worth it. And they have a lifetime warranty! So, if on the rare occasion that yours breaks, you can get another one for free! You can buy them at Sally's, or any of your local, more high end hair salons may have them. Good luck!
I have the Chi. I can straighten my hair in about 10-15 minutes. Sorry I don't have pictures, but I have course wavy hair. If I use deep conditioner and leave in conditioner I don't see much damage. Also, I only wash my hair twice a week and just touch up with the flat iron.
A chi is the absolute best!!

And the best of chi's is the chi nano... its light blue and works wonders on curly hair.

But the regular one costs less and is still amazing.
the new iron kiyoseki works great !!

if u want to know what iron to get then

CHI n GHD's are best! get one of them! and no they aren't 100 to 200 dollars if u order online...i got my chi turbo for 87 dollars at amazon.com

and at ioffer.com the chi's cost from 29.99 to 50 dollars..they are authentic not replica's.(some are replicas so ask the seller first but most arent)

and can u believe ghd's at that site only cost 16.00 dollars? once shipping is added its like $60 something... that is still cheap for such a great salon product!! .at salons its 200 to 400 dollars!!

it comes with a pouch, iron, clips, and instruction dvd,,if u want the chi then get the turbo chi because it has temperature control unlike other chi models so ur hair wont burn since u choose the temp u want n turbo works much faster!!

message me for any help!! chi's are cheap at the site! buy one! u will be happy!

purchase a CHI, they are expesive but totally worth it. they are what the hairdressers use costing around 100 dollars. it makes your hair shiny and soft and sooo straight so fast.

    Chi

it doesnt damage hair, leaves hair shiny, silky, and very smooth!

A CHI flat iron is best.

What is the best straightener to buy?

I have medium, curly, hair, i sometimes want to wear my hair straight. But i sometimes feel lazy and don't want to spend 50 minutes straightening my hair when it is wet! so tell me what is the best straightener out there that i can buy! it was to be maximum $150.

I want it to cut my straightening time in half or maximum 40 minutes. so please tell me what is the best one out there!!What is the best straightener to buy?
My suggestion is to buy a Chi Brand straightener. It works miracles on my hair and it cuts the time i spend straightening my hair in half! Either a Chi straightener or a Paul Mitchell (i thk i spelled that right) straightener which actually heats up to 400 degrees in 9 secs and i kno i sound like an advertisement but it is true that's the kind i want but those can be expense. But u can find a Chi @ Target for under $150 also ask ur hairstylist if she knows any good deals to get the Paul Mitchell brand or even Chi's they always kno the best and cheapest places. Hope i helped. What is the best straightener to buy?
    CHI brand.

their expensive straigtners..but work really well!
GHD - Fabulous - enough said!!!!!!!!!!!
well you should probally get a one with ceramic plates so your hair doesnt dry out as bad and the brand that i recomend is conair but if your looking for a real good one your better off buying one at a salon
Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron

    From CHI

    Price: $82.50

12 new or used available from $82.50

    Product Description

Chi Original 1'; Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered

one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic

design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist.

The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal

in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles

help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an

extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside

the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are

recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10

seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

my sister has a great straigtner from target and it is really cheap and doesnt take very long to straighten your hair. its only about 20 dollars and it straightens it when it is wet. it is called remington wet2straight.

    What is the best straightener?

I have really thick, frizzy, wavy hair and I straighten it all the time but the straightener I have now is a cheapo one that doesn't work very well. I was wondering if anyone knew of one that works really well but that is less than $100. Also blow dryers that help with frizzy hair. thanks! What is the best straightener?
Personally, I don't think the chi is all the great. The best one I ever used is paul mitchell's the smoothing iron. It's for professional use only but you get get them online. It $190 ish. Vidal sasson makes an amazing ceramic one. This is the one I use at home. It was like 25 in stores.

    http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/vid/a>What is the best straightener?
Even though it is a little over $100, the CHI is definately a worthy investment. Trust me, you might as well go the whole way of paying a little extra for a REALLY good quality straightener rather than wasting money on a cheaper straightener that might just die on you in a year.

Go for the CHI, it's really worth it.
I love my Coriolis! you can find it online. Also, Chi is worth the money. Don't get the wide one though, get the thin one. (they have two sizes of straightener.)

I love frizz serum. You can get John Frieda Frizz serum, Paul Mitchell, or even Zero Frizz (at walmart, its $5, its great.) I usually wash my hair, let it dry, and then pin up sections and start straightening, use a bit of frizz serum on each section. frizz serum is the secret to soft, smooth straight hair.

Check this out: The hotter your straightener gets, the shorter time it will take to straighten. Cheaper straighteners don't work so well b/c they don't get that hot, and they also do more damage to your hair. Save your money for a good straightener. its worth it. Also you need a heat protecting spray.
If you want a really good hair straightener.

I think you should get Cortex Professional Ceramic Hair Straightener. I have this one, its really good ! Dead straight, Curls, Waves !But its for about 125 in stores. Just add in $25. The cheap ones wouldnt work ! Trust me.
well chi is really expensive but also the best one cuz it uses steam which rid's the oil in your hair.

    i use

Conair Thermal shine. i got mine's at walgreen for like 50 might be cheaper in walmart.

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21/a>

yeah it's pretty big but that REALLY works.

and to keep it from frying your hair you can always use some Olive oil that you get in stores.
I have the same exact problem, so I went to Wal-Mart and got a flat iron for $20. It works really well. It keeps it straight for a long time, and keeps down the frizzing..

This is the one I have:

well, I would recommend the chi but that is over 100, so try straight to the max, it works really good and it's only $30. I forget where I got it.

Many people will say chi but it is false. The reason it works well at first isthere is no adjustable heat temp dial so its set so high and actually BURNS ur hair. do u really want fried grandma hair after a while of using it?? and also there have been many complaints about it breaking after a few months. very poorly made.

so many people have dropped chi and switched to sedu. What is the best straightener?

    What are the best Straighteners?

i need new ones when i go to get my hair done my hairdresser uses ghd's which are good but brake easily what are the best ones? What are the best Straighteners?
andis ceramic hair straightner. they heat up fast and they are so small that they fit in your hand perfectly and they dont weight a ton. I bought one for $16 i thought it was too good to be true that it was gonna last me 1 month max., well i was wrong i bought it 3 years ago and i still use it and it still works. it makes your hair silky and smooth. What are the best Straighteners?
By far GHD's are the best and quality. Try the IV salon styler, it comes in pink, white and black. Trust me it's really good. I had a crazy curly hair, but they straightened them in less than 20 minutes. And it only takes one stroke only.

They also come in 2year warranty. And they shut off when not in use for 30 minutes, this is good because it will save you energy. They not break or pull hair like my old remington, babyliss and revlon.

There are lots of straighteners out there but i think, these are amazing honestly. I've had mine for three years now and still going strong. Plus they have a world wide voltage, meaning you can use it in any country. Buy this and you will thank me in the end. I promise you
I went to a hairstylist and asked the best kind and she said to get ceramic tourmaline coated straightners and mine was like 30$ and it works pretty good.. My cousin bought one from the hair salon and it was 200$ but it works awsome!
GHDs are the best. ive had mine for well over a year, using them loads and im very clumsey and havent been remotely careful with them so i would say compared to cheaper ones such as babyliss and remmingtons, ghds are near destructable
    GHDs %26amp;%26amp; NICKY CLARKE

there totally awesome and work wonders on all hair types you can get different types of ghds you can get thicker ones for thicker hair and i'd recommend them because they last a lifetime !!
    GHD's

I cant understand how yours have broken. Have you kept them in casing and in a safe place away from sunlight?

Is the chi the best straightener out there?

So im wondering if the Chi is the best straightener. My dad got the Gvp for christmas and specifly told him that i wanted the chi but he got this one. I dont want the Gvp i want the Chi. I know alot of people say it has problems and stuff. But i think that thats because they dont know how to take care for it. My friend has had one since the summer i believe and hasnt had a problem with it. So im wonder if the chi is the best one out there. Thanks!!!Is the chi the best straightener out there?
probablly not i hear sedu is betterIs the chi the best straightener out there?
Yeah, supposedly the chi is the best, but just be happy with what your dad got you, he is obviously trying. Give him some credit, it's christmas for pete's sake!
    http://www.hairstraighteners.org.uk/hair-straightening/6/114-Ghd-Mkiv-Salon-Hair-Straightener.html

this is the website you should try
Why can't you be happy with any straightener? If it straightens your hair, then be happy. Don't ask for too much.
GHD is amazing mine is in bright pink with the rounded barrel it curls, crimps, straightens, everything you can think of. it heats up in like 30 seconds and id you leave it in a cold area that gets 40 degrees or lower it shuts its self down so moisture doesn't get in and when taken good care of last forever. It can be expensive though.
In my own opinion, I think the Chi flat iron is the best one out there. It straightens the hair and leaves it moist and silky. Even though its a little bit expensive its worth the money.

What is the BEST straightener for curly-wavy, big, thick, frizzy, long hair?

Okay, so my sister has a Chi Nano in blue, and I use that sometimes to straighten my hair. I know that the Chi is supposed to be one of the best straighteners, but my problem with it is that it breaks my hair when I use it. A LOT. I hardly ever straighten my hair- I'm talking like 3 times a year. It takes me 2 hours to straighten it (and make it straight straight). I can get it straight in an hour, but it is still big and frizzy. So, I have to go over it again to get it flatter and frizz-less. My hair is huge and I have a lot of it. Anything you can think of that adds extra volume to your hair, I've got it. Thick, big, a lot of hair, curly-wavy, frizzy, long, gets bigger in humidity... you get the picture. I don't want to get my hair permanently straightened because I don't want to expose it to the harmful chemicals. I do not color my hair. Let me know what you think, and mention what you use and what type of hair you have!

What straightener could I use for my hair to minimize the amount of time needed to straighten it, while keeping my hair healthy and not causing breakage, and that will get my hair really straight? Cost doesn't matter too much, I have a lot of babysitting money saved up so if it's worth it, I'll buy it.What is the BEST straightener for curly-wavy, big, thick, frizzy, long hair?
Okay, I'm answering your second questions around products for your curls :-) TRUST ME -- check out www.tightlycurly.com. You're going to love this website.

Teri (the woman who created the site) has AMAZING step-by-step instructions for how to wash, condition, define, and manage curls exactly like yours! Seriously...when you see where she started with her hair and where she is today (lots of before %26amp; after pics on her site), you'll be amazed both at how beautiful her hair is and how simple it is to use her technique once a week. She has perfectly defined curls all of the way down to her waist.

My daughter and I used to struggle with finding the right combination of hair products and styling. Everything seemed to dry her hair out more, make it frizzy, etc. She hated her hair. Once I found this website and started following Teri's technique, people literally started stopping my daughter on the street to comment on how beautiful her hair is. She's so proud of her beautiful curls now and has stopped asking me to straighten it all the time. There is nothing better than seeing my girl feeling good about her natural beauty!

This website has EXCELLENT product advice, most of which is very inexpensive and available in your local drug store. Teri's done her research on the ingredients and will tell you very specifically which ones to use and which to avoid.

I really hope this helps! What is the BEST straightener for curly-wavy, big, thick, frizzy, long hair?

    Hi there,

Not to sound cheap. However, I swear by my Conair ';Wet 2 Straight'; I have tried a lot of the other ones but this one works best for me. It's about 30.00 at any drug store and I use mine on a regular basis. It only takes me about 45 min to straighten all my curly hair.
i have the same problem and i do too have long hair i use an amika Straightener and bed head products %26amp; bed head shampoo and it works fine.
    a clean Straightener
yaay first to answer!!! bedhead :)
just get any random cheap straightener from the drugstore. you dont need a fancy one. I have the same hair as you, and what I do is, when I get out of the shower i blow dry my hair. this will make your hair wavy and puffy and maybe some frizz. then just use a heat protectant and go over the waves once or twice depending on the size of the wave slowly. it works really well. it only take 20 minuted at MOST to blow dry it, and 5 to 10 minutes to straighten it. i have medium length hair and it all takes me about 20 minutes total. i have the red wet-dry by conair (do not use it on wet! it doesnt work!)
I Agree, i dislike Chi ALOT.

Everytime i use it, it leaves my end very dry,

and its not bareable so i get a trim.

I use Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium, i get

compliments on my hair all the time, trust me.

It straightens quickly, and for you're curly hair,

you can put the heat settings on the hottest or 2nd to

hottest temperature. Another suggestion is when

showering, right before you get out, rinse you're hair

with cold water. It close the shacks of you're cuticle of

your hair to prevent as much frizz. Avoid putting TOO much

products in you're hair, it slows down the process of

straightening. I hope this helps !

What is the best straightener for me?

I have medium/ long, very wavy hair, that frizzes like crazy! I am interested in paying about $115 or less for a straightener. Right now I have a CHI, which I heard by everyone it was the best. Trust me, it's not. It leaves my hair dry and frazzled. I also have colored hair, so I need a straightener that will not be too damaging. I was considering something called the Conair Steam Straightener, but I really don't know. Anybody got any ideas? What is the best straightener for me?
you neeeed to get a sedu. i have one and love it, id have to say it is the best. it leaves your hair silky and smooth and defrizzes it completely. and i used to have a conair and theyre horrible so dont waste your time. you might be able to get a sedu on folica.com for around $100What is the best straightener for me?
all straighteners are damaging, i dont think its really the straightener, you probably aren't using any product previous to your straightening

I have naturally curly, kind of long blond hair. I love how my hair looks straight though. I'll straighten it and within 2-3 hours it'll be kind of wavy and awkward looking. But i also don't have a lot of time to straighten my hair. What is a good straightener that will keep my hair straight?Best straightener out there?
    CHI.

    thend.Best straightener out there?
I have a Hot Tools straightener that has been working for over 5 years now. You can find them at Amazon.com. I have naturally wavy hair and it works great. But the longer the hair the longer it will take, I cut 10 inches off a few months ago and was shocked at how much faster I can do my hair now. Don't forget to use a ';shine'; product or something after you straighten your hair too.
Hot tar will keep it straight for years, and as you do not have much time, you will also not have too wash it.

I think what you referr to is a flat iron, in which case different ones do different things. If your hair is short and fine, you would do well with any over the counter ceramic iron. Ceramic is best because instead of boiling moisture off the hair like metal does, it will neutralize water molecules. If your hair is very think, or very long, I would strongly recommned a CHI flat iron. Most professionals such as myself use the CHI brand iron every day with fantastic results. They also have a teriffic waranty, so even though you are spending a little more, it goes further than a chep iron. Hope this helped!

i have used chi and its pretty good, but right now i have a wet to straight one that i got from wal-mart for $19, and it works really really well. helen of troy is a good brand too.
    blondie Is this your story?

Actually, It might sound odd, but I use my curling iron. Since it is so tight to your hair to curl it, it works sooo good to straighten it. I use it every single morning.

    What are the best straighteners?

I have thick black hair, frizzy and wavy and am looking for some straighteners preferably 拢60-拢80 any ideas? What are the best straighteners?
Well I know in America they sell The Chi and it's the best straighten I've used and I've been straightening my hair for 5 years, been through 11 straighteners. Maybe look it up online, I don't know how much it would be in pounds though. What are the best straighteners?
haha you sound exactly like me. i have black, wavy/curly frizzy hair. i did SO much research for my new straightener , cause my old one damaged my hair a lot cause it wasn't ceramic.i didnt wanna waste a bunch of $ for something that wouldnt work well for my hair. i went on folica.com, which gave a list of the best hair straightners and it gave lots of reviews. i ended up getting the Solia for 80$ (it came with a free mini Sedu straightner for bangs and flyaways). it came in less than two days. i live in New England, so the weather is kinda unpredictable. with my old one, my hair would be pin straight, and as soon as i would get outside, it would become frizzy and wavy. with the solia, my hair doesnt get frizzy at all. and the only pieces that waves are my bangs (but thats if its raining and is really really humid). get the Solia!
the best straightener is the CHI it is out of your range however,

my straightener is the CONAIR IONIC STEAM and my hair is very curly so it works quite well, it is about 60.00

most of the straightener forums are on the internet.

    good luck
They're slightly above your price range but i assure you GHDs are well worth the money. I've been using mine since I was 11 and I'm 15 now :) They're about 拢100-拢130 but you could try eBay for some cheaper GHDs.
Apparently ';Chi'; straightners are good, i don't have one yet, but my hair dresser does and it works Great!
    Try the InStyler...

    What's the best straightener............(10 points)?

i have very thick, wavy hair and after iwash it,it gets very frizzy so i need a really good straightener. right now,im using vidal sasoon and it's awful! honestly,it's my first straightener so i have nothing to compare it to but it doesn't get rid of the frizzy hair,it doesn't straighten properly and yea............so what straightener do you recommend? i asked this question before and all the answers were either CHI or GHD but i've heard that T3 is also good so i don't know. What's the best straightener............(10 points)?
OMGGG DON'T GET CHI OR GHD!!! waste of money. i promise you. i used both and they work just like any other straightener for the extra cost not great :p the old Chi's didn't even have temperature control. GHD is reallyy expensive and it works just as well as any other straightener.

DEFINETLY GET T3!!!!! is it by Bespoke Labs? i have that one now and it works so great!!! you can use it on damp hair and dry hair and it only takes 10 minutes to straighten my hair and it's just the same texture as yours!! AND it's like PIN STRAIGHT!!! i love it to death!! and also, it makes it all shiny and smooth!! definetly get that!! it also produces infared light to make your hair healthy!! as a bonus, the straightener is really pretty. lol ^^ i love it!!! GET IT GET IT GET IT!!!!!

oh and if you do get T3 by Bespoke Labs get this model:

    T3 Wide Wet to Dry

    ceramic tourmaline

i got mines at bed bath and beyond. it was originally $200 but it was on sale for $100. it comes in a black box

    good luck!!

oh and p.s. T3 makes your hair less frizzy!!!What's the best straightener............(10 points)?
My first straightener was a vidal sasoon as well! I'm actually still using it at the moment. I have used a CHI before and i worked a million times better! However, I have heard the the GHD's are even better. Since the CHI made my hair almost perfect, I'd recommend the GHD which I'm sure will make it perfect. I have not actually tried it yet tho, as I ordered it and it won't be delivered until tomorrow.

Heres a little chart comparing a few straighteners.

Top of the Line: GHD, Sedu

Average : Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia

Bad: Vidal Sasson, Walmart and Drugstore brands

I myself have no experience with T3 so Im not sure about them. Also, don't get a wet to dry one as they damage your hair. And for people who say that other straighteners cost less and work just as well:

Well for one thats not always true, and for two the most expensive ones do waaaay less damager to your hair.
Don't get confused and purchase the CHI hair straightener.

Its best because the price is very lower than others and working the best.

    Also the customers recommended product.

my hair is bushy and wavy.

also , pureology hydrate shamp. and cond. really made a big difference.
i would NOT recommend chi or ghd!!!

they have gotten horrible reviews on websites and ive tried a friends, which was not that great. the chis dont have temperature settings so you could just fry your hair.

ghds arent worth the money; $200 when it hasnt been proven to be so reliable as claimed.

    http://www.folica.com

that website saved my hair! the solia is AMAZING along with the sedu!

i bought the solia and it has made my hair pin straight and has been working for 2 years =].

i really recommend it! just look at the reviews for ghds, chis, solias and sedu and the before and after pictures.

    hope i help!=]
Do Babyliss Pro. It's a professional starightener and it works AMAZING I own it and I have perfectly staright hair all day. So try and find it. It has ceramic plates.
you should get the conair tourbaline and it straightens really good and leaves your hair shiny iuse this one and it works great
    tool science

i use it and its the best straightener ive ever had

ive been straightening my hair for seven years
I think CHI os the best. I Use it everyday and It works GReAT! But be sure to use protection spray
    bed head
use conair brand they are the best.
Hi Mini, First off, use a shampoo and conditioner that helps straighten hair. I purchased a straightener for my daughter (who has really thick hair) that goes from wet to dry...she absolutely loved it. She loved it so much she wore it out and I had to get her a new one! There are a few brands out there now that allow you to straighten while the hair is wet...plus it dries the hair REALLY fast!
GHD is probably one of the best, but it also runs for about 240 dollars on average. They an be found at sephora, or at Folica.com:

    http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?/a>

    http://www.folica.com/GHD_Ceramic_Hai_d3/a>

Personally, i like the Solia, Sedu and FHI irons.

The Solia is the most cost efficient, and most effective. They should run about 70-80 dollars and can be found via Folica:

    http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1/a>

The FHI is also a really great iron that is more expensive than the Solia, but cheaper than the Sedu or the GHD:

    http://www.folica.com/FHI_Ceramic_Fla_r1/a>

The Sedu is one of the more popular ones, competing with CHI because they'r ein the same price range. Personally i find them to work better than CHI, leaving you with flat hair with less heat damage:

    http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Revolution_d2/a>

None of us here can really tell you which one is best for your hair without seeing or feeling the texture:) but, all of the above are great for most hair types. you should definately talk to your hair dresser/stylist to see which one they recommend.

The T3 and the CHI irons are more readily avaliable, but i don't really like them too much.

the CHI is noted for its heat damage, while the T3 gives you smoother hair, but doesn't straighten as well as the others.

    good luck!

What is the best straightener for my hair that will not make it dead?

i have sort of dry but not too dry long , thick , frizzy , curly hair. i straigten my hair almost every other day. i want a starightener that will starighten my hair and 30 minutes later my hair is frizzy and flipping out. i want a starightener that will reduce the breakage from the heat. i use heat protectant but i feel my hair just needs a healthier straightener .i have a bed head but it doesnt work too well. can you tell me a straightener that will get my hair really straight , soft and not kill my ends or make my hair fryed.

pleasee and thankyou(:What is the best straightener for my hair that will not make it dead?

Due to to the fact that different races of people have different textures of hair. So, depending upon your race, their are several options. There is an olive oil based relaxer that can be used. This has been very successful for my daughter's friend, who is black. Also using shampoos, conditioners and rinses specifically for frizzy hair helps. These will tame the hair and help it to be ready for a flat iron. Check out qualified beauty shops such as Sally Beauty Supply (see website for locations) for the right flat iron for your texture of hair. Don't give up, the right treatment is out there waiting for you!

    Take care!
i highly recommend Japanese hair straightening. i have very thick and frizzy hair and it got much more manageable , soft and healthy after the straightening. but no matter what- make sure you are going to a professional who knows what they are doing! make sure to meet with other people that got it done with him/ her/ the salon. getting referrals for this will be your best bet.
I've been using the same one for three years straightening my hair ALL THE TIME and more than three times on the weekends per day. My hair is still nice and soft!

I use Infiniti Conair 2';. But not just straighteners can make your hair dry and gross, also it depends on the shampoo. I suggest Herbal Essences Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner.
    Excellent Straightener Remington S-8400

Chi is the best one out there, but it is expensive. Dont buy conair if you straigthen your hair that often because it will fry your hair and will give you split ends.
hiya get a good shampoo and condition to get hair straight! and i would probs say ghds

and babyliss x but babyliss are the best x
