I agree with the others, you definitely won't find a really good ceramic straightner at walmart. I bought a Baby bliss from a beauty supply store (but you can find it on ebay, etc.) I only spent $40 on sale, and it works great! I have coarse curly hair that won't stay straight no matter what I do, but this straightner is awesome! My hari is shiny and as straight as I want it.



As for curling, if you get a straightner that is 1'; wide depending on how thick your hair is, you use it to curl your ends maybe, but if you're looking for defined curls, I think you may have to stick to a curling iron. And again, the ceramic ones work best.Best straightener?
You've got to look for the full ceramic plates. Meaning a 100% ceramic plates. Gurl, if you really need a good quality straightener, you have to spend a lot of money coz its guaranteed that its worth it. I have the ';CHI'; and it's worth spending $160. It doesn't break your hair and it curls your hair too. Just don't forget to use ion serum to protect your hair from heat damage.

Bio Ionic works really well, but you cant buy it at wal-mart but you can occasionally find it on ebay for about 50 bucks, works great it made my hair wavy so when i want it straight it takes about 5 minutes with a flat iron and I can curl it too!(p.s. dont worry about using the bio ionic hair dryer or flat iron just use your own works fine..)
