Okay, So I have super frizzy, thick, hair that will poof up if its humid or wet or anything and I am desperate for a good quality straightener. It takes me upwards of an hour and a half to get my hair straight and it gets frizzy almost immediately. I use sprays but I think that I just don't have a quality straightener. I have looked into CHI but they don't have a certain kind of plate that gets the hair straight or something. I just recently had a bedhead one and I liked it but I am looking for something better. I would really like a CHI but I also want something that it won't take 1 hour to straighten so that I can wake up in the morning and take some time to do it without waking up super early. Any suggestions? Please!Best Straightener for Thick, Unruly, Frizzy hair?
Chi's suck, they kill your hair and are so cheaply made its ridiculous ( i went through 3 in 2 months, and its the same problem each time, it shorts out and you have to hold the cord a certain way for it to work).
Go for a ghd. I have super thick curly hair and it used to take me an hour and a half to straighten with a chi. With my ghd it takes me 20 mins. They are expensive though. I heard the Sedu revolution is just as good as ghd and its like $100 less on folica.comBest Straightener for Thick, Unruly, Frizzy hair?
CHI's are not good and I've heard that they fall apart and stop working fairly soon after getting it. I prefer Paul Mitchelle's
And I have shoulder length extremely thick afro puff curly hair
Don't get the Chi. My sister has it and although it works pretty good, it won't keep your type of hair straight. I would recommend a straightener that grips your hair with ';claws'; so it can hold in place very easily. Also try getting one with a steamer built into it. You put the straightener in your hair and while your straightening it there is a button you can press (you have to fill a compartment with water first) and it ';steams'; your hair, straightening it faster. I have one like that and it works good.
Hope i helped. (:
well i also have super frizzy and thick hair and i use a chi turbo (you can now get these at target) my hair still gets sort of frizzy but not as much and it takes much less time i definitley reckomend it!
Get a ceramic.
Won't fry your hair as much.
