I owned a Chi, until I made a trip out of state and forgot to bring it with me.

I ended up purchasing a temporary one at Wal-mart, but loved it so much more I use it now instead of the Chi.

It's called Wet2Straight I think.

It's a wide ceramic iron and it really does do the job in less the amount of time!

Not to mention, it's cheap!
I'm not sure about a better straightener..

But I have the Chi myself, and it works for me,

Do you part your hair every time straightening it?

If you don't, it'd be better if you did.

And sometimes to keep your hair straight,

use those hair products...

Like BioSilk, or Paul Mitchel's products.
I had a Chi but now I have a GHD and I love it.

It's pretty pricey but if you buy it through a hair stylist you can get it almost 1/2 off.

I never have to worry about straightening my hair or going over it again once I've used it. I have very thick hair and it works great.

Hope this helped!

Good luck!
don't use wet2straight it will completely end up frying your hair. you cant go from wet to the hot of an iron that quickly. I have a chi. the 2 rules so they don't burn out on you is 1. don't use the on/off switch and don't wrap the cord around the iron it messes with the wiring.
ohh.. i actually bought a conaire blow dryer that has this attachment that straightens hair (AND IT REALLY WORKS!!) , that with ANY STRAIGHTENER, and your hair looks great!!!
I have the Remington Wet to Straight straightener, 2inches. It's inexpensive ($30) or $25 for the 1 inch. I have to say this is my first hair straightener, however it does a good job.

I've heard Conair is not bad either.
I have a chi also. Yeah they aren't really as good as they come off or used to be.

My neighbor has a Revoln Ceramic RV063. It is soooo much better than a chi.

They are really hard to come across. So I would recommend looking on Ebay. Or you could post a wanted ad on your local Craigslist.
I have a Royale and it works really well. I have a Chi too but I prefer the Royale. They are really expensive though, even more than a Chi. I have a Sedu, also very expensive, and it is nothing special.
Hun Chi is really suck. Besides the hair products. If I were you I would use hot tools. I have a hot tools Iron and it works great on my hair =]

Its better to pick the hair Straightener with bigger panels. Small ceramic panels wont really do much :D
I have a kiyoseki styler and I love it. =)

my hair gets DESTROYED in humidity, and my straightener prevents even midwest humidity.

I recommend looking into it.

even for curls and aisan hair.
I use Remington wet to straight. Its never failed me. Its not like the profesional kind, and its extremely cheap [ like $30 ] but it leavs my hair soft and undamaged. Also i've had it for three years not and havent even had to replace it.
I have the Fhi (the fake chi) and it works like a charm. Try Wet2Straight. You can straighten your hair when it's damp and it heats up within 60 seconds!
FHI straighteners have been getting good reviews. My hair stylist recommended one and April's In Style magazine rated it the best out right now.
wet2straight,

chi works for some and doesnt for others,

uhh ive also heard sedu and solia.

and ghd :)
a chi is best. i got mine at the mall thats were i got it.
such a not guy question... but my GF says GHD (good hair day) are the best.

Not cheap but pretty good.
GHD

nothing beats it, it's the porche of straightners
the croc or t3
