- My hair is extremely thick, frizzy, and curly. After I blow dry my hair it looks just like Shelley Long's did in Cheers, just WORSE!
- I notice that whenever I straighten my hair, the bottom layer in the back is so STUBBORN that it will not straighten
What's the best straightener for me and what can i put in my hair so that it will straighten better/stay straight? What would be the best straightener for me hair type?
ghd straighteners are apparently really good and work on many different types of hair!

well, chi i hear is excellent, but i have a jibere straightener and it works wonders and is just a little less expensive..i have coarser, thick, curly hair and it straightens my hair just about perfectly!
actually my hair is alot like yours!
so what i do is first wash my hair then after i air dry or blow dry doesn't matter as long as my hair is dry. then if you go to the store (any really) and you can find hair oil after you put som of that in you can flat iron or curl n iron and your hair is sleek shinny and best of all straight! ;) i know this because my cousin is a hair dresser.
CHI straighteners work wonders on thick frizzy hair. use heat protector spray. they can be pricey but they are well worth it.
hope this helps(:
BABYLISS brand straighteners. They work better than CHI and their heating element does not go out as quickly as CHIs do. I love, love, love mine.
You have to straighten your hair in sections. My hairdresser always gets onto me because of that. Start with the back underside, and if you can, have someone else do it for you so they can see what they are doing.
