i have VERY thick curly hair. and ALOT of it. and the best straighteners are either the chi. or wet line [ those are pink ones; that usually are sold in the kiosks in the middle of a mall].

well, any flat iron will burn your hair if

a. you don't use it properly

b. you don't use a heat protectant

c. you use it more than 3 - 4 times a week



it seems like you do not know much about hair straightening. if so, then i suggest you go onto www.youtube.com , type in at the search bar '; how to straighten your hair'; and many, many videos will pop up. i straighten my hair 3 -4 times a week. and this is what i do.

b. if you need to keep your hair under control, use the Matrix. (mom has afro and only uses this product)

I recomend using the Chi Original or Chi Turbo flat iron. I absolutely love this product. its a little pricey ( i got mine for $120 at target) but im sure you can find it cheaper. this makes your hair silky and pin straight. its truly amazing.

I have thick curly hair.... and i have a chi. :) its was an amazing straightener.. while it lasted.. I only had it for about 8 months and it just the other day stopped working. and of course the warranty doesn't cover it :/ so im not sure now .. you can go on folica.com and search for the best rated ones..

the sedu is supposedly one of the better ones so i might be buying that one.. but honestly the chi is amazing . but it DOES NOT last. so try to find a more durable one . and make sure you do your research before wasting money on one.
here i brought one last night! it was really good and cheap!
chi is a really good straightener but it can be pricy
