I'm looking for something that will straighten my hair good, and not brake in a couple of weeks like the ones at wal-mart.
So any suggestions?What is the best straightener to buy?
People actually have been known to prefer the Solia Tourmaline flat iron over the Chi. Chi's can sometimes give out quickly but the Solia is amazing. I use Solia and it is amazing. My hair is soft and silky, shiney after using it. It has moving plates to ensure that every hair gets the royal treatment. It uses tourmaline (better than ceramic), which is a semi-precious gemstone that infuses the hair with negative ions which control frizz and lock in the hair cuticle. It only costs 79.99 at this site, free shipping,(14.95 if you live in Canada). Simply amazing. http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1/a>
Read and look at the pictures along with the reviews, its a great flat iron. Good Luck! Dont buy cheap irons, they will damage your hair so fast.What is the best straightener to buy?
it really comes down to the texture of your hair.
For normal hair, try an FHI, Sedu or a Solia.
Chi is a really big name in hair straigtheners, but they aren't known for durability; many are known to have dangerous cord defects that lite the iron on fire, while others just stop working after a couple of months
If you have thick and course textured hair, try an FHI Platform, it works really well on thick, course hair and it does it without frying your hair :)
The generic Wet2Straigth or the Conair, revlon, etc 20 dollar ones you get at walmart are all CERAMIC PLATED and not solid ceramic. This means that your really not getting the full elements of a cermaic iron, which leaves your hair fried, and it takes hours to do your hair.
If you really cant dish out 100 dollars for an iron, try a Wigo. They're pretty good, and while not as good as the professional ones, they offer high performance at a low price
good luck!
I had the same problem a little while ago.
People on here kept telling me to get the Chi,
and I was about to, but then I did research on it.
It said that it didn't last, and that it broke instantly when it fell.
I got the GVP from Sally Beauty Supply.
It's an awesome straightener, it works amazingly.

%26lt;%26lt;Oh before that, I also had the Wet2Straight by Remington, didn't work all that well%26gt;%26gt;
then you probably want a chi. they're expensive, but worth it. however, for a cheaper straightener that works really well but is economical, get remington's wet to straight
A chi, but there pretty expensive, but theyre the worlds best straighteners apparently. The are amazing, and come in all different colors and styles.
i have a sedu ionic i love it it makes my hair so soft and shinny heres tha link

theres one at walmart called ';wet to straight';
it works better than the chi and its only 20-30 bucks
idk which ones your getting from walmart but i have had that one for years and it works FANTASTIC
I use this good one called Coroliss.. its from England but its pretty expensive. I used chi once and it totally ruined my hair :/
Remington by Revlon. It is a wet to straight straighterner. It's really good. It last long and keeps your hair healthy.
you get what you pay for, so keep that in mind. ceramic ones are the best, especially chi.
Chi is the best for your money's worth.
Chi is the best from walmart but they get extremely hot! So they can cause more split ends. but I LOVE them!
But keep I'm mind they are about $120
Chi is a pretty good one but 75ITS NOT 100% CERMIC! ITS ONLY 75% CERMIC
deffinately the chi
