I have the same type of hair, and I use a one inch chi straightener, (you can get them on sale at Ulta or other beauty stores) and right when I get out of the shower and my hair's damp, I use the chi straight guard. Be careful not to burn your hair up! It takes forever to get back to normal.


Just a note:


If you have curly hair and straighten it for a long time, you lose some of your curl. That happened to me. Now my hair is just slightly wavy.
Well the corioliss and chi are so common that people are finding they are being more and more cheaply made, a new brand which is amazing, is the GHD. they sell it at sephora. that is if your price range lets you buy that one. here is a piece of valuable advice: if you are not willing to drop a more than 150 dollars then you wont get the results you want. the GHD is also great because it ahs a line of styling products / heat protectants.

well if ur talking about hair product, the best hair product straightener is the Brazilian hair keratin treatment, this product is good for the hair not bad!, it keeps ur hair straight and easier for u blow dry it (less time) and it makes ur healthy this product lasts 3 months. google it to find more information.


now if ur talking about thermal iron? the chi is old news, the newest good iron out there is the babyliss ';nano titanium'; 1' plate width. im a hair stylist and i know this is iron is way better then the chi is because this iron makes ur hair super straight, u just have to pass it one time threw your hair and u will see how Straight it puts it. and it maintains like it for a long time.

Well first before straightening your hair put tressemee heat tamer spray in and then use a CHI straightner there the best! And then afterwards use a good hairspray(All tresseme hair products are good! Try the HOLD Hairspray!)

ghd or chi and make shure to use a heat protectant and a straightening gel because if seals the hair follicle closed so that your hair doesn't get poofy or curly during the day
chi is the best you can use but their Straighteners are real pricey try going to sally's they have great deals on straighteners
a ceramic straightener that has high heat settings, chi is the best but kinda expensive.
