Hair Straightening IronsWhat are the best straighteners to use on curly hair ?
I have tried loads of different kinds of straighteners before buying GHD's. They are the best for straightening but as with all straighteners you need to use some sort of protection as they don't do your hair any good at all!!!
chi 4get the rest
GHD's from HQhair.com !
The best you can buy!
Got to say GHDs. Short for good hair day. Bad thing is they cost about 拢70 new but theyll leave your hair straighter than avery straight thing. If you cant afford that I got some Fabulous Nicky Clarke's from John Lewis. With a hairdryer for just 拢20. theyre great.
GHD's are the best. They don't dry your hair out like the cheaper versions - don't waste your money like I did on other brands save up and get GHDs.
Use the ones with ceramic plates. They are a little bit more pricey but work really well.
why staighten it? curly hair is the shi*, and making it straight is only going to damage it. i say stay curly
ceramic lol
It has to be GHD, they are definately the number 1 straightener on the market and the only straighteners we will use in our salon/

The best straighteners to use on curly hair are ceramic straighteners. Eventhough I don't have curly hair, I wanted to make mine straight. I browsed the web for straighters, and information about how they can damage or improve your hair. bough a cheap one, and it messed up my hair. Now I have splitends, and when I straightened, it pulled at my hair, and now I wish I could have spent a little more, instead of messing my hair. You might also like to use products like sprays, or oils to protect your hair from damaging it.
I like the Ceramic Tools Ceramic Straightener. It's about $40, and I have found it to be as good as the Chi straightener. You can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply and online.
ghd.
Used by professionals!
I have 1, worth 拢120, coz i got the big one and also there is a medium 1 and a small 1!
Chi will work on any hair.
Definitely Chi. I have had one since 3 years ago when the ceramic ones became popular and it has been nothing but great. It does not cause damage and does wonders in a few minutes.
conair or Remington T-Studio i've had both but Remington T-Studio is way better. You can get Remington T-Studio at a walmart, a mall, target, or a salon! go here for image http://mpimages.hairboutique.com/_images/products/remington-s8400_80w.jpg go here for product http://www.remington-products.com/haircare/straightening.htm
I hope this helps you!!!
.
MY DAUGHTER HAS SOME PHILLIPS TRESEME STRAIGHTENERS AND I THINK THESE ARE THE BEST ONES THAT I HAVE EVER USED, THEY'RE NOT TO EXPENSIVE EITHER.
Remington for definite
chi is the best, make sure you use a product to protect your hair from damage
GHD'S definatly!!! they r fantastic for any type or style of hair.well worth the money
hot tools
Ive got curly hair and I use GHD's there the best and well worth the money.
I believe GHDs are good. They are pricey but apparantly worth it. I have been wary if these since they recalled all products a few years ago because they kept blowing up.
If you're not brave enough to try them, or if the price tag is too high you need to try ones with solid ceramic plates. These distribute the heat more evenly with no cool spots. Also the higher the temperature the better. There are some good ones with ceramic coated plates but the ceramic coating wears off after a while causing them to drag and pull on your hair.
chi...if those are too expensive...hot tools work well. my daughter has thick coarse curly hair and we got her a 2 inch Hot Tools and it works great !!!
Metropolis straighteners work well too!!
I would stay away from the drug store kind only because they don't seem to have the same abilities when it comes to tough hair.
GHD Straightners-
The new-generation ghd straightners. When it comes to heat-styling, it鈥檚 the ultimate in versatility. Innovative digital control improves styling success, advanced ceramic heaters give the ultimate in static-free sheen and 鈥榮leep modethe new built-in safety feature - turns the styler off if it鈥檚 left unattended for 30 minutes. And it鈥檚 styling technology you can take it absolutely anywhere; new universal voltage means you can style your way round the world and still get the same fantastic ghd performance.
hope it helps x
