Ok im a guy and i have very thick hair and its pretty long and im looking for a SAFE straightener that wont damage my hair. I absolutely love my hair and to damage it will kill me! I went to the mall and this guy was selling staighteners and he was saying that the straightener he was selling was the best because it didnt have medal plates and it used steam from your hair when you straightend it. I can't recall the name but it was 150 and i went on the site Folica.com and i think its kinda over priced. Also it had a knob for heat tempature knob and he said for straightening hair, ALWAYS maximum for thick hair. Is this right? Whats a SAFE straightener that doesn't use medal plates? Thank you.I need help deciding the absolute safest and best straightener out there?
wella is bestI need help deciding the absolute safest and best straightener out there?
I used to have a CHI and it worked fantastic on my hair,my hair is VERY thick, massive curls, and it flattened it out quite a bit..Well a year later it broke, lol i was heart broken!and my dad wasn't going to buy me another one because that one was so expensive, but it made my hair look natural, and I used straightener protectant spray,it works. Now i have a bed head and it works just as good as the chi!And it was only sixty bucks..I suggest a bed head and to be safe, get some straightener damage spray..
There's really no such thing as a ';safe'; flat iron. Your hair is being fried with an immense amount of heat that has nothing to do with the brand. There are products that you can put in before or after you straighten that help keep shine and volume and whatnot. But as for the best straightener out there I'd go with a CHI. It lasts a long time because its no piece of crap but that also means it costs a lot. Try to get one off Ebay they go real cheap.
Wow I wouldn't buy the straightener from the guy. I have seen those ppl in the mall all the time, they get on my nerves! What he was telling u is called ';sweet talk.'; All sales ppl have it. Anyways, the best straightener is ghd. I have one, but its pricey. Its best bang for your buck though. I believe sephora sells them. But they have a whole line that protects you're hair and everything. Use it in conjunction with your hair straightener and you will have silky locks :)
i would get a chi because it is a good straightener but is not over priced and it does not have metal plates. and ur hair is going to get fried regardless but i dont think it gets fried as much with a chi and thats just coming from all the straightners i've had and the chi is the best
i use the ones that they sell at the kiosks at malls. it works pretty well.
there's no such thing as a safe flat iron. but as long as you use a heat protector. (tressame has really good ones) your hair should be fine.
Ghd. that`s all i can tell you. Its the best straightener evver. It has no heat settting so i presume that the heat changes according to the texture of your hair.
since you have thick hair and want to be safe, you need a ceramic straightener. ceramic is wayy better than metal.
i have a herstyler and i like it alot and it works on my hair great even though my hairs really thick. i got it at the mall.
to keep your hair like safe from damage, use like a heat protectant spray. every time. thats a necessity.
and trust me, your hair wont get damaged that quick. unless you straighten your hair for like everday the rest of your life.
that goes for everybody. but mostly me and you cuz our hairs are thick..
hope this helped!! :)
