Conair Steam Straightener help?

I flat ironed my hair yesterday and while the body came it pretty ok my ends kind of look dry and funny. I used a Conair Infiiti Professional Pure Ceramic at 360 degrees. I didn't want to carry it any higher. My hair is natural but it is not very kinky. I want to save money so my mother can buy a Conair Steam Straightener when she travels to the US in June. Do they work well on natural hair or is it just the advertisement?Conair Steam Straightener help?
I recommend the Remington wet 2 straight flat iron. It works very well. I have never tried the flat iron you are talking about though.
