Does the conair infinity steam straightener have to have distilled water?

i have that straightener, but i am not sure if i have 2 have distilled water 2 make it work the best. tell me if u have used distilled water and tap, which is better please :)Does the conair infinity steam straightener have to have distilled water?
It is better to use distilled water in those because it cuts down on corrosion of the metal and it will last longer. I only use distilled in my straightener and my iron.Does the conair infinity steam straightener have to have distilled water?
Tap water has dissolved solids and salts in it. These will be left behind in the machine and will soon clog it up.
