As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

CHI would be best. Theres also Babyliss not as expensive but still works good. I have both and i like them both.
chi suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks
if ur gonna get a chi get the wet 2 straight chi
i have really curly hair and my chi doesn't work at all so i gave it 2 my mom who has thinner hair then me, barely works for her
japanese relaxers r the only way 2 get flawless straight hair, although i have learned to love my curlssss=)!!!!!!!!
why would you want to pay 200 dollars to damage your hair?
you can find a just as good one at ulta or places like that for a lot cheaper
I have a Pro Touch one. I really enjoy it. I got it at JcPenny's hair salon. My stylist told me that using the Chi can damage your hair because it gets way to hot. She said that if you get a Chi to only use it once a week. The Pro Touch allows you to change the temperature settings and will tell you which is best for your hair type. I have thin hair and that is one reason why she told me not to get the Chi. The Pro Touch one works very well and keeps my hair straight throughout the day.
Sedu or Solia
buy the chi you wont regret it
Definately CHI Nano!
GHD
