What is the best straightener?

That you could buy at like a walmart or cvs?

and also whats the best pre straightening product?

not too expensive

thanks =)What is the best straightener?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etcWhat is the best straightener?
there's no really a ';best'; straightener... just get one thats ceramic and you should probably not get it online
I love Revlon's ceramic flat iron. It works great, and is only about $20 at Wal-Mart. I've never tried the expensive kinds, so I can't compare to those. But this one works very well, straightens my curly frizzy hair, takes out the frizz and cuts back on the flyaways. Well worth the measly $20, and I've had mine for two years, still works great!
wet2 straight.
chi's are the best. they are pretty pricey, but it's worth it. they lalst really long, and they work wonderful. they make youer hair softer and not frizzy.
Dont get a wet or dry straightner because they make your hair really frizzy. Get a conair or something if you wanted to splurge get a chi, they're great. Good luck.
even though someone said not to get this,

i have a 1 1/2'; remmington wet to straight.

its been working great for about 2 years.

its a little damaging, but it does NOT make your hair really frizzy.

actually, it doesnt make it frizzy at all.

before i had the 1 1/2'; i had a 1';

so ive really been using this straightener for 3 years.

it can make your hair pin straight and its only $35, well thats how much it was when i bought it... i dont know about now.

my advice would be to get this straightener,

but start saving up your money and in time but a sedu or a chi.

(sedu would be the better choice out of those 2, but its more expensive.
GHD without a doubt

a little pricey, but seriously worth it

GHD products are good too, but also try toni%26amp;guy
Helen of Troy, BedHead, or ConAir.

I personally use Helen of Troy..and its not high priced.

ConAir is probably cheapest...but not most effective.

and BedHead works best, but its on the more expensive side.

ohh...and i use CHI iron guard....keeps your hair healthy, doesnt dry it out, and it keeps your hair strong.

its cheap too :]

Sedu is the best. That's what my hair stylist use. I've tried many flat irons (CHI, TCP, T3 and GHD).
I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!
go to sally's they have good ones
i use BRAUN and its fine ..GHD is good i think but for curlhy hair only..it doesnt suit me.. i have a wavy hair not so straight..

and for pre straightening.. i use ';wella flex'; some thing like wax..and it says it protects the hair 2..but i dont really believe that..it just make ur hair edges look healthier
Chi Bling =]
