i usually use a revlon and i love it. but its starting to tear up like the last two ive owned. so im looking to invest in a new REALLY good one. I want one that will straighten my hair fast and make it soft smooth and not really flat but not bigish? lol.
im leaning towards the sedu but i read that it doesnt make the hair flat?Best straightener?
i have a $14 andis one that i have had for almost a year with tons of use and it works great.
and at that price you could pretty much get a new one every month and it would be less than like a high end chi or somethingBest straightener?
I have heard Sedu is great + go to the FHI website and take a look.

Here is a list of things to look for:
The best ones are used by professionals. It is best to get one that costs a bit more than the high street brands, as they last longer and are better value for money in the long run. I've done a bit of research into hair straighteners and have discovered these things:
1) Get one with a PTFC heater, these are the top quality and all the best straighteners have them. Other types of heater are Coil and Ptc, and these are not so good.
2) Get one with solid ceramic plates so that the heat is evenly distributed on your hair at the same temperature.
3) Get one with a temperature dial so you can adjust the heat, at least to about 200 degrees celsius or else the hair will not stay straight!
4) Get one with the Tourmaline encrusted into the plates. This helps protect the hair.
5) Get one that actually makes the hair into better condition by using negative ions.
6) Also get one that has a good heat recovery time, so it can sustain a good constant heat!
The thin 1 inch plates are the best for most hair types. If you have thick hair it might be better to get a 2 inch wide plate, but with fine hair the 1 inch plate should be better. It depends on your hair type!
Brands that I would look into are Hairtools FHI Heat, www.fhiheat.com...
I buy a new straightener every 4 months. i've gone thorugh soo many. these ones have worked amaizng on my hair:
Solia (1-1/4';)-amazing
Sedu (1-1/2';)
Sedu Ionic Ceramic Professional Straightener -CURRENT (AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!)
Bion Fine Ceramic Digital Hair Straightener
Those were my favourite.
I hope i helped.
:D
try an ION straightener with high temperatures.
the ion in the straighter helps hair to be smooth and non frizzy.
they flatten ur hair really well.they make ur hair look smooth soft and shiny
theyre available at any beauty stores and range$80-100 depending on where u get it.
uhhh? i have one that works really well, its a conair and its rated #1 best for hair. its cordless and you put it in the base and heat it up and then you can go do whatever and then recharge it. it's really nifty, and lets me get ready faster.
I have a Sedu, it definitely works. I have the 1 1/2 inch, and I love it. I works a lot faster than my old straightener (Remington Wet2Straight) and gets hot in less than 30 seconds. I'd highly recommend it, plus it's supposed to not do as much damage to your hair.
GHD hun,
they are sooooo good.
trust me on this one.
they are a tad expensive, but totally worth it!
you can get them from just about any hairdressers.

All the best!

I personally use the CHI straightener. I've heard good comments about the Sedu straightener. Any ceramic straightener would work tho.

Most people and hairdressers use them
They straighten even the curliest hair and make hair smooth, straight and flat! :)
