My hair gets pretty damaged from my straightener and i hate it. so what is the best straightener that doesnt damage your hair. I know there are things out there like ';nano silver'; and ';ionic technology'; but i dont know what straightener to pick. also, i tend to go through straighteners like every 6 months, so a durable one would also be great. Thanks for the help.Best straightener for damaged hair?
i use a remington one almost every day and it has lasted me bout 1 and a half years. if u want to fix damaged hair, get a treatment mask or deep conditioner. i use 3 minute miracle by pantene and it is a life saver !Best straightener for damaged hair?
Be careful with damaged hair! I know you've heard it a zillion times, but use a good conditioner, be careful about brushing your hair (get a boar bristle brush and do it gently, and NEVER brush wet hair), and try reducing the amount you wash your hair (every other day is just fine). Make sure you use a heat-protector spray whenever you straighten your hair, too (if you don't already). It sounds cheesy, but it works :)
That said, the best straightener out there, bottom line, period, is a chi. They're manufactured by Farouk Systems, Inc., and are usually available at salons or nice cosmetics/beauty supply stores. If I were you, I'd go for one of the tourmaline ceramic ones- the plates are a little better than the plain ceramic, and the price is still OK. Be warned, these straighteners do run about $110, but they last forever, have a great warranty, and can sometimes be found on sale for a bit less at places like Ulta.
Good luck!
Well chi is just about the most damaging straightener out there, thats why your hair always smells burnt after using it...and they break really easy, so do yourself a favour and dont get that.
I would recommend the sedu revolution, check it out at folica.com or the solia if you dont want to spend that much
You should just stop straightening your hair, get your split ends trimmed off, and buy a Chi straightener. They're kind of expensive, but they're worth it. Also, buy a protective serum to apply to your hair before you straighten it.
The best thing to do if your hair has been damaged from a straightener is to not straighten it because if you continue to do so then you won't have much hair so I would advise to not do so.
stop using a staightener for a while? maybe?
i use the chi but i spray a bunch of stuff to protect it..
chi's for me stay last me a while
but really you may want to go easy on the hair...
