i have extremelly curly hair too and i hate it!! ok so like i use a pure ceramic straightener, and its actually a brand called ceramic tools, its a professional that my aunt got for me (cuz shes a hairdresser) and idk where you can find one cuz u might live in a different area thn i do. and so this is the exact one i have(http://www.beautybasicsupply.com/Babyliss-PRO-Ceramic-Tools-1-Hair-Flat-Iron-p/co1cerflmn.htm) so if you go there itll give you like a whole buncha information. it gets up to 450 degrees almost instantly and i would give it a 12 on a scale of 10 lol, if you need more info thn you can pm me at taylorptato55@yahoo.com
get a CHI they are ahhhhmazing. i have really thick wavy hair and i can make it pin straight in less than 30 mins. idk how hot it gets but it gets HOTT in like 5 or 6 seconds which is really cool and convinient [[sorry idk how to spell that :P]]

I have really curly hair to... i use enjoy pomade then use a hot blow dryer and a big bristl brush to straighten in...I flat iron will break your hair.. if its still not straight after useung a blow dryer then go over it with a flat iron.. Sephora sells a really good one its like 400 bucks
the GHD straightener is absolutely the best. it is effective and holds its straightness. it is available at most hair salons and is actually used in the hair salons themselves:D

absolute best (and I have tried them ALL) is the Jilbere brand. I have a silver tourmaline/ceramic and it gets to 450 degrees. Its wonderful! one swipe and that piece is done!
i use a GVP its a knock off of the chi from sally beauty. it workd amazingky!

Chi straigther any brand that has good heat levels and is wide ironed.
GHD's , they can make the curliest hair straight but they are expensive.

They get quite hot 10/10 though
