The best straightener?

i need a new and goooood straightener by tuesday and i can only spend like $150 AT MOST ! mine broke, and i feel like dying ! whats the best one to get that'll work for a looooooong time? The best straightener?
Mine was 15 bucks at Wal-Mart, and it's great! All I know about it is that it's ceramic heat (Most of them are). The best straightener?
Don't get Vidal sasson brand, I had 2 and both stopped working, one side stopped heating. I'm going to try a new brand this time.I sent the first one back under the warranty, they sent me a new one and that broke too. Juliana
i have a cheap one from CVS and i have had it a few years. it still works fine and great for a $20 straightener. esspessially becasue i got to spend the rest on shoes
Chi. It is about 150 dollars, it works. I suggest getting a black one though because a lot of times the colors like red and blue don't work for a very long time.
The new line of hair stylers from bed head has a really cool straightener that's electric blue and lime green and it lights up!!! It works really good, and it's really cool. You can get it at Target or walmart or some other place like that for about $70. Get it!!!
there are many options.. for one that is about 150 or a lil less you could get a chi.. but i would suggest if you want to same some money get a store one or a salon store (like one at sally beauty supply)

I have a vidal sasson one and it was like 30 dollars... the only bad thing about it is that after about 2 years of ';everyday'; use the cereamic plates kind of get ';stripped';.... but i dont use mine that much....but i think 2 years for a straightner is a pretty good ';life'; span for a straigtner. I like mine that i have becuase it doesnt seem to dry my hair out like other straightners ive used and you dont have to go over the hair a bunch of times.. its it right the first time

also a good ';type'; is ceramic with tourmaline.. im not sure what itourmaline does.. but i know it works relaly well and keeps your hair softer.

I would not suggest getting a wet or stright kind like ';wet to straight'; unless you only use it dry becuase straightening your hair when it is wet will kind of ';boil'; or ';fry'; your hair cuasing the cuticle of your hair to completly dry out causing it to break.

Just look for a straightner that has a lot of heat settings, is ceramic (with tourmaline is preferable) and use a brand that is trusted.. if you get a store brand get a good one or go to sally... they have a lot of diff ones and they would be able to help you more with the individual straigtner if you ask about them.
CHI ceramic 1'; flat iron. It's all black and one of the best out there so far.

I use it in my salon and have had it for a year. It heats up very quickly and the size is small enough to get close to the scalp.

Use a cream or silicone to act as a buffer between your hair and the iron. Heat damage cannot be reconditioned.

These were only available for a time at porfessional beauty supply stores, however, I believe you can purchase them at Bed Bath and Beyond now for about $129.99. Get a 20% coupon if you can. They are sometimes in the Sunday paper with the rest of the department store ads. They also take their own expired coupons and Linens and Things current coupons.

Hope this helps.
remington wet to straight it's 30 something dollars and i've been using mine for like 5 years and its in very good condition, i've never had problems with it. and trust me, i'm not the type of person to use a jacked up straightener
