Whats the best Straightener?

i have normal hair i would say it gets wavy after it gets wet. i have a wet 2 dry Straightener but it burns my hair and makes it smell like icky. whats a good Straightener that gets hot enough to straighten my hair but wont burn it? and one that isn't like 100 dollars? also maybe one i could order online at like target or walmart? also what spray can i use or gel to protect my hair and also make it smell good while straighting it?Whats the best Straightener?
I have shoulder length hair that has layers. When my hair is wet, my ';bangs'; get this wierd wave and get frizzy when they dry. What I use to fix it is Redken Straight 05 Straightening Balm. When my hair is wet, I use about a half dollar sized dollop, and work through my ';bangs.'; Then I blow dry that area using a medium sized round brush. I use a round brush to smooth and give a bit of body. Works wonders! I never use a straightening iron, I never got the hang of them!

If you go to http://www.sleekhair.com/1059.html, you can purchase a 5 oz size for about $14. Otherwise you should be able to get it at your local salon.Whats the best Straightener?
If you want a really good straightener you are going to have to suck it up and get a professional one that may be more than 100$. Its totally worth it and instead of buying a $40 straightener that isn't that great, scorches your hair, and works for a year will add up because you will have to keep replacing it. I have a Sedu, and I've had it for 5 years. It is amazing. It was $109 but I'v had it for 5 years and it doesn't damage my hair. I say go for it and spend the money because you will not regret it.

I personally like the Andis Ceramic Clamp Flat Iron, 2 Inch. As for hair spray I use Schwarzkopf (I think thats the name) It's in a bright orange bottle. It's actually a lotion but it makes your hair straighter, smells better, and doesn't burn it.

I've heard the bed head ones are good. I was considering geting one of those too. I'm due for a new one especially after my cousin never returned mine. Haha,
wet to dry straighteners are really bad for the condition of ur hair. GHD straighteners are the best you can buy. im from the uk and their like £100 over here but are seriously worth it and last for absolute YEARS!!!! best bargin i have ever bought!! if u live in the USA u can ship them over. cheap straighteners frazzle your hair. your best to invest in an expensive but relible pair!
I use ';Chi'; but I think it's expensive... and my hair is curly and it works so idk what you're talking about?

I heard the ';Hai'; also works really well.

But in general, if you always want your hair straight, you can get it relaxed at a hair salon.
I use matrix sleek look iron smoother, you can buy it at ulta or hair salons...it protects my hair so it doesnt get fried and it smells good too!! click the link --%26gt; http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo…
I have been using this straightener for awhile and I really like it. It does not make the hair smell burnt at all, It works really well, and it is pretty cheap.

Mine is a wet to dry one also..

my hair seems to be like yours, when it gets wet it goes all wavy..but mine is a remington wet2straight....it's never burned my hair at all.. and its only like 25 bucks.
GHD's are the best straighteners i've ever used.

i have wavy hair also, and it manages to completely straighten it.

any heat defence spray will stop the smell :)
Sedu 1 1/2 inch. Use Tresseme Heat Protector.
CHI

best straightner out there

but its very exspensive
if you have really cruly hair dont get a chi!!!!! chi's suck when it comes to curly hair. do NOT get a CHI
Personally, I love the CHI. It makes your hair so silky + shiny, while the ceramic plates don't damage your hair nearly as much as any drugstore brand [ ex: Conair ], although any sort of direct heat being applied to you hair does damage it somewhat. The outcome lasts a lot longer than any other straightener I've owned.

I have the CHI Pink Dazzle 1'; Ceramic Flat Iron, and it works wonders.

I got it for $109 [ originally $150 ] at http://beautychoice.com . They ship to Canada as well, but if you live in the US then that won't be an issue.

Always remember to use heat protector!
