Professional irons are the best. The cheapest and most reliable place I've found to purchase one is from www.folica.com. You can also see reviews of all the irons on their site. My personal favorites are as follows:
Sedu - Excellent tool. You can get one for about $120.
FHI - Also an excellent tool. You can get one for $105.
Solia - I love this one! $80 and contends with the best.
Overrated: GHD... they are supposedly the best, but cost way too much. I don't believe the heat setting is adjustable, which would be too hot for my hair.
Overrated: CHI... they also are not heat adjustable and do not have tourmaline; tourmaline is less damaging.
Youtube also has good product reviews. Just type in the brand you want to try and ';review.'; There are even comparisons ';sedu vs ghd'; or ';sedu vs solia.'; Good luck!
Edited to add: Also, always use a good heat protectant, such as Biosilk, prior to using your iron. What is the best straightener out there?
If you feel like spending a lot of money, Chi straighteners are the best. They make your hair pin straight and it lasts through the day, without severy damaging your hair. XD
If you don't want to spend a lot, try Conair or Remmington, their straighteners work just the same, unless your hair is like mine - very small curls and super thick. For me, they straighen, but it doesn't last all day if my hair is blowing around and stuff, but they work pretty good, just make sure to rub some hair creme through it so it doesn't frizz out and fall out of place :}What is the best straightener out there?
conair
The Flat Iron of course
