Best straightener?

my straightener is about 2+ years old and i really need a new one. the one i have now makes my hair flat and lifeless. does anyone have a really great straightener to recommend? thanks.Best straightener?
The Solia flat iron is the one you want if you want to be more free with your,i have a Solia and i can straighten it,curl it and so much more,and It's not very expensive,but it is a just a little bit heavier than the others you mentioned,it won't hurt your hand though.The Solia is good for short to medium hair.

The Sedu is the one that i plan to buy next,i think people with hair a little past their shoulders have had better results with the Sedu,people with short hair however disliked it.The Sedu is very light-weight,but the plates on the iron are very wide,and not good for curling and waving your hair,but the good thing is that they offer 2 different sizes.The Sedu is good for people with medium to long hair.

The CHI is a piece of crap in my opinion,it is not the flat iron you want for very thick,frizzy,curly hair.I have heard hundreds of stories about the CHI severely damaging hair,breaking down after 6-12 months and just falling apart.The CHI is recommended for people with long fine/thin hair.

Edit: I've had my Chi for 3 years and it works just as good as the day I bought it.
Sedu is the best. That's what my hair stylist use. I've tried many flat irons (CHI, TCP, T3 and GHD).
don't listen to the people that have the chi, I've had many of those and they quit working, break, and snag ur hair try the sedu ionic ceramic straightener I LUV IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It doesn't snag ur hair and straightens it really quick, it works wonders on my hair which is extremely thick and curly that used to take about an hour to straighten, now it takes me like 25 min wit hte sedu. u can buy it at folica.com that also has many other straighteners and reviews by people who have ude them. ITS GREAT!!!!!!!!!
the best straightener has to be the GHD I've had mine for only a few months now and i love it. it doesn't just straighten your either you can wave it, curl it, straighten it and add volume.

it also comes in two colours pink and black.
a coriollis.it is expensive but so worth it.it doesnt fry your hair as much bc you only have to go over each section of hair one time.and plus it is solid ceramic so that makes it less damaging. other straighteners just have a ceramic paint over it so it still frys it. i didnt think it would be true when i got it bc i have super thick curly hair but it does. or a wet to dry. those work amazing.maybe get a chi.hope i helped
CHI, its the best
chis are good for a while, but they break / burn out easily and quickly. they dont last long

sedus are expensive but worth it.. shiny %26amp; silky hair

solia's are a little less expensive than sedu.. good for thick or 'foreign' hair
