Orr a Sedu.Best straightener For COARSE!!! caribbean/afro hair?
Girl, trust me i have the answer to your problem!
BUY A SEDU!!! Trust me i've tried many of the professional straighteners and Sedu works the best! It leaves my really curly frizzy THICK hair straight and silky. It works very well with afro type hair that's why it has different temp settings. It cut my straightening time IN HALF and i guarantee it will do the same for you!
here are some before after pics (lthere are some pics in there of girls with afros)-http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_r1/a>
hope this helps:)Best straightener For COARSE!!! caribbean/afro hair?
ok, first i have natural black gurl hair and this flat iron works. 2nd i got my hair weaved in with this wavy bohemian hair and the flat iron worked on that hair too. and 3rd my roommate has that mixed black/white people curly hair and the flat iron works on her hair so well that she had to go out and buy her own. It is the WET 2 STRAIGHT REMINGTON and my roommate straightens her hair after she gets out of the shower and it straightens it right out. Found it at target for about 20 - 30 dollars.
i have crazy thick curly hair and what i found worked best was the wet to straight remington one and it was not even expensive! I've paid top money for ';good'; straigtners and they never got my hair straight- always puffy! So yea, i got the remington for like 30 bucks and it works. trick?? Wash yoru hair and let it air dry. if you actually do it wet to dry, it will take forever (if you hair is as thick as mine, that is), so once its pretty dry, put setting on 30, seperate into smaller sections and spray some heat protector (i use tres semme). The trick is not to use big sections so that you can get the roots- usually when peopple tried to do my hair, they wouldnt get the roots so my hair would look puffy at top. so yea, best of luck!
The new revlon one. It's red and makes even the curliest hair pin needle straight. I dont know the exact name of it, but its hot on the market, red and also adds steam to your hair so it wont dry out!!!
Try a GHD, its amazing for ALL hair types. its one of the top brand name straighteners, as it adjusts to straighten your hair type. it has one heat setting, but it adjusts as your hair changes. hope this helps (:
try to use a child perm for coarse hair... it wont do as much damage and it will straighten just as well as the others... try lusters pcj...my hair is coarse and i use it and works very well
