To have beautiful hair, you not only have to use the right products for your hair, you need to know how to manage it. You didn't give details on your hair type, so I'll be assuming you have curly hair.

1. Wash: Don't wash hair too often because it will become dry. 2 or 3 times a week max. Comb it before washing to get rid of knots. Be gentle while scrubbing to avoid tangles.

2. Shampoo: Don't go against nature! If your hair is curly, use a shampoo for curly hair. Don't use one to make it ';sleek and straight';. Do use a conditioner for your type of hair too. For curly/wavy hair, try Redken's Fresh Curls. It's really good.

3. Leave-in treatment: A couple products that are fantastic: FHI Heat Hot Sauce and CHI Silk Infusion. Apply on damp hair.

4. Drying: don't comb your hair if it doesn't need to be, especially for curly hair (or use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers). This will allow the natural curls to reform and avoid frizz. Air-dry until hair is half dry. Then blow dry using your fingers until the hair is about 80% dry - keep the low setting so as not to destroy your natural curl patterns. Fully- or over-drying will make hair frizzy and dry. Tie it up until fully dry. If you want to achieve a straight look, use a flat iron (such as Sedu, GHD or any true ceramic or tourmaline flat iron) on the dry hair. Finish off with a little bit of serum on the length.

The key is to use products for your natural hair type, and not against it. Good luck! :)

Remmington wet to straight straightener works great and if you use a little bit of Garnier Fructis non-frizz serum when your hair's wet it should help a lot =]
